1. cool. not sure how to proceed with this. maybe i'll just post about it? or should i go to the trouble of setting up something seperate? i guess it depends on how many people are feelin' it.

2. i'm teaching a pre-college course on collage. it's pretty great.

3. yep, perfect troy material. too bad he's kneee deep in the bad foreign policies of yore...

4. adding "oufarkhan" to my google reader (which is awesome/addictive, if you don't use it).

5. i sorta worry i'm coming off too "childhood issue"-ish actually. but thanks!

1) well you're the teacher you should set up some kind of lesson plan structure or at least something so we all know where we are. i think a filter would be fine.

2) i hope you post more on the collage class. i don't know very much on it and i'd be keen to learn a lot more.

4) i have 200 subscriptions on my google reader. no shortage of ways to procrastinate.

5) i think the childhood issue is at least an interesting one and not like dealing with a messy divorce or something cliche' like that.

BONUS NUMBER 6) not for nothing, but i've been watching all the seasons of six feet under recently and in that video you reminded of the rico (head undertaker) character who i totally have a crush on.

1. when i'm about to begin, i'll make a note of it.

2. the class is for high school kids, so the material is pretty basic (picasso and duchamp were covered today). speaking of high school kids, there's a high school heavy metal band playing in the park next to my house right now, and old ladies are DANCING TO THEM like it's a fats domino record or something. i'm beginning to like my neighborhood more and more, for realz.

6. aww shucks lady.

You sound a lot less nervous than I expected bad_juice July 10 2008, 15:45:30 UTC
Sound pretty calm and collected and confident, actually.

I feel hell of self-conscious on film. So I always sound absolutely awful.

did i ever tell you i saw sinbad in the airport? danschank July 10 2008, 21:43:14 UTC
he was exactly the same as in movies.

re: the video, i think i begin to relax about halfway through. but you're always more aware of your own awkwardness than someone else's, i guess.

i read about half of it, but i felt i didn't get anything out of it. i wish i'd taken the pynchon course in college.
