I cannot believe I got to do what I did today. It was everything I ever dreamed of in the world of LGBT acitivism. I actually got to march, chanting and picketing, through the streets of downtown Chicago. I went to a Gay Liberation Network meeting tonight, and I loved it. It's everything I've been craving in a gay rights movement: sincere, informed, and well-organized grassroots actions that happen consistently in solid numbers. I filed for unemployment today, as I have been pounding the good earth trying to find a job and been entirely unsuccessful. Life without a source of income is weird. I don't like it. Something must be done, and until that something is me getting a bloody job, unemployment benefits don't sound too bad to me.
