Interesting start!

5th driest year on record, hottest November then cooler December and then yesterday enough hail in 30 minutes to leave drifts still frozen nearly 24 hrs later. We came home from celebrating at my parents, happy because of good food, good company and 3 hours of rain to find a totally white garden and the end of our street blocked off by hail and
