That was my opinion on W Juliet until...uhm...I forget what volume, but its when the main secondary otp(his ever so petite sister Akane and one of her twin brothers-the seriousone, I always remember their names but not which is which...he's also the one who cooks) meets...he saves her from an omiai of doom.

The historical part of OZ is technically the better part, but the modern part is when I go psycho for the otp...I mean, he waited for her for a thousand years...how do you top that?

Modern part is more my thing generally. I don't know if I ship the OTP (I mean, the guy went psycho and wanted to destroy the world) :)

actually, he was very, very sane during that part...and hey, at least she was the only part he didn't WANT to destroy.

W Juliet is one of my all-time favorite manga (next to Meru-Puri, Fruits Basket & HanaKimi) - it's light & fluffy w/out any major angst but it had uber-sweet romantic moments throughout. I just finished a reread last week as I needed some good consistent romance after my last several disappointing dramas. ah bliss...another W Juliet fan...that book is really otp heaven...i mean, even my pet otp that I figured would never happen happened(Toki and Nobuko)

I hope Viz licenses W Juliet 2 soon.

yes, though i think it only recently started. I have no idea if it's being scanslated or not...it takes a lot to get me to check out scanslations, and most of the scanslations on my puter are for iconning and picposts.

Oh, he only goes there as a pretend customer. Mainland girl's cousin is forced to work there and he and Ah Qi pretend to hire her for the night and then lead her out and hide her in order to be able to send her and Mainland girl back home. Which is all awesome on their part.
