First, everyone should go and join vm_spork. Really.

Secondly, Good lord. I ventured into the Alexandre Dumas section of ff.net and am now scarred forever. They are so bad I can't even summarize.

That one made me giggle for a while.

A note on Gankutsuou, you might actually find an anime you like in that one, as it is an anime take on Count of Monte Cristo and is absolutely gorgeous (it's gotten extremely high marks in the anime world, whether a Dumas lover will enjoy it is another matter).

I looked at some artwork and it does look beautiful. I am thinking of dipping my toes into anime. Any recs? I'd like it to be visually beautiful but also to have a story that makes sense.

I haven't watched much anime, but I can second the recommendation for Cowboy Bebop. I love the series, and it has great music in it, too.

Either he's not much of a thinker or else how does she want to pack 14 years of thought into one one-shot.

Also, while you were gone I've been reading Veronica Mars Fic. And it's even LoVe. Ok so I'm mostly reading it because the author wrote me some Prison Break fic, but I still feel all dirty!

Actually I quite like it. Lots of Duncan/Lilly/Logan/Veronica past rememberance and angsting. Lots of neat lines and mental images once you get past the "You" part.
