yea jun's hair and outfits was horrendous but i have to say which drama didn't have that problem???? well the wardrobe mostly....

and i liked this drama but the manga was better..... you got a better picture of who sumire is as a person and what she appears to be to others....and her relationship with momo (takeshi) as the only person who gets to see the real her and how she's this ego maniac who wants a guy who is taller than her and makes more or the same money as her.... and yet the person she is meant for is someone who is shorter, younger and as complicated as she is...

Oh yes, the manga is awesome. I generally think mangas end up better than their adaptations though (with few exceptions, like Mars). But this is really cool.

LOL. Seriously, they would have done better if they just raided his Arashi closet, even. I mean...

she is meant for is someone who is shorter, younger and as complicated as she is...

She has this ideal, rather bloodless relationship in her mind, but when she is offered it with Hatsumi, it just ends up not working for her at all. But then she is a weirdo and works well with another weirdo :)

does jdrama = bad wardrobe decisions for jun????

and sumire's ideal husband isn't something that works well beyond paper but takeshi does.... and i mean a guy who is willing to be treated as a pet well, is weird but so is she... perfect match

Context is everything. And what we like right now has to do with so many different factors - which is usually why I give things a second and third chance. *shrug* Maybe someday I'll change my mind about Proposal Daisakusen... ;)

I love Sumire!!! She's so different on the inside from how she appears ... she just wants to be who she is, not cute ... she's so bad at intimacy ... but she is capable of a lot of love.

Her sisters are in a manga called Candy Life (there are scanslations) and Sumire appears at the very end. So cute. I wish TokyoPop would do more Ogawa because her manga are so funny.

Did I mention I love Sumire?

I'm so glad you like it now. Judging from all previous posts & replies, though, I must be one of the sole people out there who liked the whole psychiatrist thing. I thought her constant running to him for pet advice was hilarious.

HEEEEE! He does look like Filya!

Hmm.. This looks like female empowerment gone wrong.. May be they show at the end that career is not important? Hmm.. I don't know.. But I think career IS important for a woman but at the same time calculating who owns more in a relationship is not at all my cup of tea.. and the whole idea of a human as a pet is seriously disturbing me.. If there is there a drama that I'll most likely will never watch this must be the one. Sorry..

Though I am dying for a new drama - I haven't seen any reports about anything new recently.. May be I'll give another try to Sapuri.

What kind of drama are you looking for? You know me, always full of 18 billion recs.

at the same time calculating who owns more in a relationship is not at all my cup of tea

True. She actually doesn't do it until her ex-bf (who cheats on her and dumps her in the beginning) tells her that it's because she intimidates him because she is taller/smarter/richer. Then she decides, in rebound type way, that to avoid it should should only date guys who won't have that as an issue i.e. tall/rich/ubersmart. Because she doesn't think any guy would be able to let go of it.

and the whole idea of a human as a pet is seriously disturbing meAgree, that is pretty odd (plus, I like my men alpha, you know), but I don't know, somehow it seems more like she has a companion/friend person living in the house and it's a little ruse that allows her to be open with him. Because there isn't sex and it's not like she walks him or makes him ask for treats :) But yeah, when I think about it too much, I get headaches :) It makes more sense in the manga somehow ( ... )
