... because I am about done with this freezing temperatures business. Also, if the weather is taking requests, some rain would be nice, because droughts are no fun.

ETA: Note to the weather: I officially did not mean that I wanted it to start dumping rain this very moment while still being close to freezing out.

Some people did choose all of them. I've grown quite fond of several television shows, but I haven't found anything that hits all of my writing kinks like Farscape.

There are so many reasons why Farscape is so wonderful, but (at least right the moment), to me it's because of hope. John is human, and he can not help but "always look on the bright side of life" most of the time. Take season four's 'Constellation of Doubt/Prayer'. When the shit has hit the fan so spectacularly (John himself almost gives up hope!), the characters change. They grow, evolve into something different. It's beautiful, it's scary. Where do you go when you can't get out? You change into something else.
That sometimes you fall in love with someone, and you lose him -- or her -- and there's no rotty magic or silly time machine that can get him -- or her -- back again. But somewhere else, there's a song, a touch of grace, a single moment in time when you can burn off what doesn't work, take half of each side and combine them together. And sometimes, when you jump, it's more than approximation the world hands you. You get another chance -- to be strong, to love. And if you could hear grace speaking, this might be her song: " ( ... )
