Miles Edgeworth had quietly snuck off to a corner of the cafeteria during lunch, avoiding making conversations. He knew other people would probably lecture him later or accuse him of avoiding them, but that hadn't been true at all. He'd just wanted some time to work quietly by himself for a while

.. Why did it seem like, no matter what, Sanzo was his constant source of .. of.. whatever this was? He would have thought, ‘I wish I didn’t feel like this,’ or something equally lame, however that made a few more implications than he liked. Especially right now, when he wasn’t completely sure his keeper was alive. Yeah, and if he managed to think that and Sanzo had really.. .. but, right, he definitely couldn’t. Sanzo couldn’t die; he was too strong for that? And he wouldn’t accept it either; someone like Sanzo would probably come back ( ... )

The kid didn't look too well, and he would've reached out to ruffle his hair, but in this state, Goku didn't even know him. It wouldn't be appropriate. He wasn't entirely sure when that had started mattering to him.

"Hey," Goku repeated slowly, detaching himself from where he'd been pressed against the cushions. He would have sat up completely, but that would take some maneuvering. Unless he wanted to bop Kenren on the head with his heel, then he could do it pretty easily.

He let the words trail off, leaving it up to Goku to decide. He wasn't gonna' force anything on the kid, but the fact that Kenren was there had to raise questions.

"Ah- Tyche!" Of course, the promise of "no claws in flesh" just had to be broken, and as tiny as those claws were, it still broke through the cloth and into the skin just under it. Scrambling, Luxord had managed to pry the hissing cat off him and held her by the scruff, cooing to her and trying to lightly pet her through all the thrashing. "Shh, peanut, shh. It's okay, no one's going to hurt you."
Odd, how he could be seemingly caring with a kitten but not with another person.
Of course humans could not sense a vampire, but Nobodies knew when something was wrong. His blue eyes narrowed and the Gambler almost sneered at the man, clutching the poor animal closer in some attempt to sooth (or maybe just quit her flailing and clawing). "Do you mind? You're scaring the cat."

Flicking a glance at the watchful nurses, he noted their expressions; they were also staring at the cat, not him. All "Aidan" could say for sure was that the man's blood smelled foul. Something wasn't right with him, either ( ... )

He found a chair by a table instead and rested his chin in one hand while idly twirling a pen in the other. He’d noticed that he never felt quite as tired as he should’ve, considering all the nights he spent running around awake. He passed it off as another Only At Landel’s mystery effect. He’d learned not to ask questions with the Turks, but he was starting to not even question things period here.
The Sun Room was almost empty, with the exception of a few patients (and was that a cat?) He stared absently at the area in front of him, letting his mind wander at will-although a part of him kept alert. Just in case Sephiroth decided to take a seat beside him or something.

She pulled out her journal and took a seat near a red haired man who looked a bit...despondent, she supposed.
"Lonely?" she asked, her flirtatious nature kicking in without her even thinking of it. She lowered her eyelids and smiled, her body angled casually to draw attention to her breasts. It was simply second nature to her, regardless of whether or not she was involved.
Besides, there was no harm in letting them look.

"Maybe," he said, flashing her an equally flirtatious smile. "But that would be a thing of the past, yeah?"
He tilted his head, letting his gaze linger just long enough. From the way she sat and spoke, he suspected she wouldn't mind. And she was an eye-catcher. Even the drab, grey clothing didn't manage to hide that fact.
"Mind if I get a name I can put to the pretty face?"

"And you are...?"

She flopped down on the couch near to Renji, sprawling comfortably. Sofas were one of her favourite places to nap, even though the habit annoyed Hitsugaya on occasion (he didn't mind really though, she could tell). SHe wondered vaugely whether she could get churros added to the menu in Soul Society. She'd rather enjoyed the one she'd had.
She stretched langruously and then turned her attention to Renji. "So, what are we doing for our ARts and Crafts project?"

"I made a deal with one of the alchemists - Ed - before the other guy put his thing on the bulletin board," he said. "So I'm going to be dealing with that tonight. It'd be a damn waste if I made everyone else cool their heels waiting on it when you could be accomplishing something. Can you take charge for tonight? I can give you a sketch of what I already know, and tell you where the hallway I wanted to hit last night is."
He trusted Rangiku to be able to take care of things and defend the group if necessary; she was a Vice-Captain too, after all, and had been one longer then him.

It only took a moment though to turn her attention to important things, her eyes narrowing seriously. She nodded sharply. "I can do that. Who and how many?" She tapped her lips consideringly with one finger. "I have to collect a knife off someone first thing, so maybe if we met at this alchemist's room. I'm surious to see what he's like."

Maybe it was the fact that Big Boss remembered nothing that Fox wanted to remember everything. Or the idea that he might lose ALL of his memories if the Head Doctor had his way.
Fox forced himself to calm down, adjusting the bandanna and getting comfortable on the couch while he waited.

She was really going to be testing herself here, and she knew it. But she needed to do this. And she could spend a while recovering.
"Hey," she said, settling down on the couch next to Fox. Now how to do this without making it look strange or draw unwanted attention? Aha.
"Lay down and put your head in my lap."
Reply
"Yes ma'am."
Fox smirked briefly before letting the expression fade as he did what he was told, lying down sideways and curling up slightly on the couch, putting his head in her lap and getting comfortable in his new, horizontal position.

"I'm going to go into your mind. I'm going to look for buried memories. Whatever I see in there will be kept between us, and I won't go looking for anything but those memories. Do I have your permission to do this?" She was going to observe protocal, after all. Already her fingertips were at Fox's temples, moving in a circular motion.
