Who needed flashlights when you had mad ninja skills?
Yup, Yuffie was good. All senses primed and ready for action, just in case any action decided to come along and, y'know, happen. Which was about as likely as Barret turning up with a basket of posies and a bottle of blueberry wine

Meche had looked over the map carefully during dinner. M8 was actually very close to her room, if you only looked at the spatial relation--it was just too bad she couldn't walk through walls. To get there, she had to cut through the main hall and go around in a U shape, then go straight down to the end of that men's block hallway.
She'd only ever seen the one monster in the area nearby, so hopefully she'd have a quiet trip.

As much as she wanted to avoid it, Meche was back on the sword as she got closer to her starting point. She wasn't sure who could have brought it besides Manny or Phoenix (or someone one of them had sent), and both of them were missing. Why wouldn't whoever left it also have left a note or something to tell her what was going on?

Now that he was fairly confident of where he was going, he paused to think about Setsuna and what his disappearance meant. Obviously in the most shallow of meanings, it meant Chekov would get a new roommate--perhaps be moved into a new room. What would that mean for his pipe? Would he have to get another one?

And nearly there. Only a few turns remained between Kakashi and Leon's room, and the jounin was thankful to make good time. While Obito claimed to have difficult staying awake at night (which was a cause for worry all it's own), Gai had always been known for his excess of energy--a trait few had suffered through more than Kakashi himself. Kakashi just hoped that Gai's eagerness wouldn't get the better of him before he arrived.

The larger hall meant a decision. Over the wall or through the Sun Room? Neither was a guaranteed passage.
Had everyone gathered in time, you could have made it much further before the special counseling patients could arrive. It wasn't brainwashed patients this time, but the advice was sound. The Sun Room was faster, so the Sun Room it was.
If time was really on her side, maybe there'd be more of that chocolate mousse left over in cold storage.

It was slower going tonight than it had been last night. Ruby tried to hurry, but every step she took pulled at the stitches so much that she soon decided to just give up and enjoy the trip. She strolled through the hallways at a sedate pace, idly flipping the knife that Sam had given her. It still felt so insubstantial in her hands compared to what she was used to, but it was better than nothing.
