The previous shifts had offered much in the way of her own personal curiosity, but little in understanding the place she was in. Still, Renamon's mind had quieted; the irritation shifted into the back of her mind. Was it simply children that accomplished that? Or the kind of people that maintained their differences, and sated something in her. She

That meant he ended up in the Sun Room. The thoughts of going into the Music Room where it was much more cramped and people would be playing on a bunch of lame instruments was too much for the teen. He plopped down on a couch, propped his elbows on his knees and wondered what he should do come night. He probably should check and see how Minato was, but... he really didn't feel like being with his friends.

Ugh.
The Sun Room was just that little bit more reassuring and soothing and much emptier at the moment. perhaps it was just that she'd left the cafeteria at the first opportunity. She couldn't see Heat or Roland or Gale, but she did spot Junpei sitting alone looking rather... what was the word? Dejected?
"Junpei?"

He nodded for her to sit if she wanted to. "Whatcha up to?"

She pulled her attention back to Junpei and shrugged. "Sitting here," she replied simply, blinking slightly at the odd question. "Wondering how to find food tonight."

"I know that if I had claws, there are a few ways I might want to 'rearrange Landel's furniture,' among other things," she added. Utena made a note to do some serious damage to the institute with her sword one of these nights. Normally, she wasn't one to vandalize anything, but for Martin Landel, she was willing to make an exception.

Settling down on the floor with her back against a wall, Teresa crossed her arms and closed her eyes. The wall was no substitute for her sword, but it was far more comfortable than any of the soft couches would have been.

At least he didn't have therapy this shift either, apparently. Neither did Lelouch, as he was over there talking to some girl. Suzaku didn't see Euphie yet, though, and he couldn't help wondering -- he wanted to talk to her at some point, and he felt a little impatient. (Not that he'd ever felt patient in his life.)
He did, however, catch sight of Teresa. He didn't really want to talk to her, not when she always did such a good job of unsettling him, but he nerved himself up to approach her anyway. "Hey," he said in greeting, hoping she hadn't been asleep. "Have you seen Euphie recently? Do you know, um, how she's

"I saw her briefly last night," Teresa replied. "I believe she is doing better having gotten a good night's sleep. Most humans tend to need a good eight hours to be fully rested."

"I'm glad. But I don't know if. . . I mean, it'll take a little more than that." Sighing, Suzaku sat down next to her. Maybe napping was a good idea. They all spent too much time running around frantically, not enough taking care of their bodies. It was no wonder they were so on edge emotionally.

After checking the bulletin one more time, he decided to see if he couldn't track down some of the kittens that seemed to frequent the Sun Room. There was a basket with several and he crouched near it, just watching them for a while as he hugged Usa-chan.

But he didn't want Ritsuka to think that... that he and....
Soubi gave up. His lunch with Sheena had been a mix of up and down that, sadly, opened up fresh wounds. Still. There was something that could brighten his day and make him feel like a good person. And that was the young looking boy by the kittens.
Soubi crouched beside Honey and looked at the basket.

"Sou-chan!" he said excitedly, standing up straight so he could reach over and put his arms around Soubi's neck to give him a squeeze.
"I missed you!"

"You did? I missed you too."
He sat on the floor and patted the space next to him so they could stay close to the kittens and think about how cute Ritsuka was.
"Have you been well?" he asked. It would be awful for this place to play it's worst tricks on Honey. It was bad enough it happened to Ritsuka, but... Ritsuka was strong and he had Soubi.

Okay, so Gabriel had been a little weird but pretty nice, and who was he to judge whether humans were weird or not? They were always weird to him!
The nurse had said he was supposed to go to somewhere he wasn't paying attention to, but that plan was completely derailed when he saw Renamon sitting off by herself. Whatever the nurse had said he should do was completely forgotten as he suddenly changed course, heading for his friend.
"Hey! Renamon!" He greeted the other Digimon happily, totally ignoring his nurse's admonishments. "How ya doin'?" He gave her a big, happy grin.

"Beelzemon," there was some affection in the word. "It's good to see you." The Rookie shifted, making room on the couch. "I'm well. And you?" She raised an eyebrow, something teasing in the look. "You seem like you're doing fine."

"Eh, you know how it is. Something whallops me, I get right back up an' hit back." With a lot of yelling and no plan whatsoever.

She started to open her mouth to say something, but instead he continued, being his normal self. And what would she have said? Something he wouldn't have liked, for certain. Renamon gave him a look instead, the teasing light smaller behind her eyes. "That is you," she said dryly. "I'd be disappointed if you fell so easily." Because that is what she should say. Because there was something comforting in this kind of interaction.
