It was going to be a busy night. Maes Hughes had no less than three visitors slated for the night - Ed wouldn't take too long to deal with, Alfons he planned to just arm and give a few pointers to, and then.... Roy. Assuming Roy was going to follow through with what he'd said. Who knew

Just like the previous night, Alfons made his way over to Hughes's room as quickly as he could, almost out of breath even from the short exertion. If only his lungs weren't the way they were...
...but despite that, as soon as he saw the taller man, a grin appeared on the German's face and he trotted over to Maes. It was always a lot better, when he knew that someone was there and wasn't going to be leaving him behind. If Alfons could trust anyone to look out for him, he could trust Maes.
"Maes!" The tone of relief in his voice was just as apparent as his happiness to see the man again.

"You ready to learn how to throw a knife?" He clapped Alfons on the shoulder, having long since taken a paternal shine to the boy.

But first, knife-throwing. He just hoped he didn't stab anyone by accident.

"Don't worry, I'm not gonna try teaching you anything fancy. Just basic throwing and aiming." He opened his closet and rummaged around in the pockets of the coat, pulling out some of the old paring knives he'd taken from the kitchen. He set those on the desk, along with his two alchemically made throwing knives.
"You right handed or left handed?"

He still felt unbearably vulnerable. For a human, he had an incredibly powerful build, but that wasn’t enough- unarmed and without his powers, stealth was the best option. And he needed to find weapons. The flashlight (its batteries removed- he did not want its light) had some weight to it, but it was a pitiful thing, even for a makeshift bludgeon. The damn thing was, he had no idea where to start searching ( ... )

How had he recognized Recluse's approach? Immediately, Ichigo squinted his eyes across the shadows, giving his fellow patient a long, hard stare. The depth of his eyes, with the same fathomed strength of an ocean tide, swept against him piercingly, as if Ichigo squinted only to see straight through him. Whatever he found there, he wouldn't say, remaining tight-lipped as ever, but it didn't seem very appealing.
"Another new guy." The first words that came from Ichigo were hardly welcoming. He sighed, then stared reluctantly away, leaving the silence of the night to creep right back in where it had been displaced. "Did you need something?"

"Any directions to a place where I could find a weapon."

There was much more he would have liked to ask Otacon about, such as how his stay at Landel's had been thus far, but that was the sort of thing he reserved for the daytime hours.
Upon entering the hallway, Roy was somewhat shocked to see that Hughes wasn't waiting for him like he usually was. He stepped toward the room and was preparing to knock on it when his eyes caught on the silver sheen of Kadaj's unnatural hair color.
Oh, right.
Letting the fist he had been planning to knock with fall to his side, he stepped over to the boy. "I assume you still want my help?"

At the mention that he'd have to wait around for the other brother to show up, Roy merely nodded. He didn't feel as strapped for time this night, mainly because he knew exactly where he needed to go. Besides, the fact that Hughes wasn't out of his room yet meant he was probably busy with something. He needed to kill time, anyway.
Not that he had any idea of what to talk about. From what he knew, Kadaj was fairly talkative. Hopefully the boy would strike up some form of conversation.

F7. That was funny. He was M7! Hopefully it would be easy to find, then. And hopefully she didn't get impatient and run off before he could get there.
With that concern in mind, he didn't waste any time, already on his way to the door that would take him out of the male block and into the hallway.

"Where is it?" There was strong power here, strong enough to cancel out his own completely. He had no problem masking his presence from his landlord, but other than that the Ring seemed to be nothing but a useless hunk of gold. He let it fall back against his chest, expression quickly dissolving into a scowl.
This wasn't the other Yuugi's penalty game. It wasn't a darkness he recognised.
Bakura's footsteps were silent. For all the warnings he only carried a couple of pens and a keyring that could be bent to pick locks. If there was fighting to be done, he didn't plan to stick around and give it a shot. He was going to find the item behind this, then he was going to leave.
