There was a faint light at the end of this hall, probably from more of those light-thingies the other patients all seemed to have. Stepping a little further, that small amount of light was just barely enough for him to realize

The center hall had been the home of enemies during random nights, usually brainwashed patients or something stronger than your average monster. Favoring her left leg, which pulled on the burns down her right side, Renamon glanced around, wincing. The medication was still working, however, and she simply had to hope it wouldn't effect her mental acuity or reflexes... More than her injuries already were.
Renamon glanced back at Utena. "In that vein, is there anything you're lacking information on? I can do my best to assist you."

How he hated being lost! If only Yachiru were here...well, then he'd still be lost, but at least he'd have some company. This being lost on his own thing was kinda boring.
Kenpachi stepped out into the hall and glanced around. He couldn't make sense of anything, and couldn't remember if the door had originally been to his left or to his right. He stood there in the darkness for a while, trying to decide which direction down this hall he should go.

The faint moonlight from the glass ceiling gave her a decent view of her opponent--pah, didn't look like a very bright one. And unarmed, too. Big, though. Hopefully, for his sake, he had interesting abilities or this would be over awfully quickly. "Patients should be safe in bed, this time of night, not wandering around up here. Back the way you came, human."

Pity she wasn't allowed to kill them.
Still, she had to smile back, but only in sheer amusement at the arrogance of this Zaraki Kenpachi. "You're going to kill me. With a pen." Missiles hadn't killed her, a pen sure as hell wasn't going to.

Best to stock up on equipment before heading to the experimental treatment hallway, Javert decided. Taylor had only given him one of each drug, and it was obvious that more than one patient would have been taken tonight. Even if there were people willing to rescue all of them, they might not have the medicine they needed.
He resisted the urge to tug at his collar as he drew near the open area ahead; there was a fight going on close by. Perhaps wearing the greatcoat had been a mistake; it felt unseasonably warm tonight.

Typical. Javert wondered just when this sort of thing had more or less ceased to amaze him, then decided he was better off not knowing. The door to the pharmacy was locked, so without further ado he got to work.

Making a mental note of the fact, he disappeared into the pharmacy.

Easy as the path to the janitor's closet might be in theory, there was apparently always something that was going to pop up and make things a little more interesting. As Harvey moved down the hall, the first strange thing he noticed was how he suddenly started to feel very warm. It wasn't so much a rise in the outside temperature as a rise in his own temperature, which didn't make sense. Why would he feel like he just got a fever in the space of a few seconds?
Either way, the warmth was uncomfortable enough that he paused for a moment to catch his breath, and that was when he heard the sounds of a fight going on nearby. Trying to remain inconspicuous, he moved a little further down the hall until he could see what was going on.
Some patient who was pretty much shirtless by now (also because of the heat?) was fighting... something. Harvey couldn't make out all of the details of what it was, but he could tell that it was female in theory. It definitely wasn't human, though -- but coming across something that was so ( ... )

Not sure he really wanted to know, but definitely sure he didn't want to attract its attention, he turned off his flashlight. The kid still had his- Might as well save the batteries. And maybe it's the heat from the flashlight that's making me so hot.
"So now what?" he asked, looking back the way they came.

He kept his flashlight off as he continued to follow the kid's directions. Fast. Quiet. That I can do. He removed his institute-issued slippers and tucked them into the waistband of his pants. Much easier to do without these on. He crammed his journal and pen into his pocket, keeping his flashlight in hand.
Lenny started padding down the hallway at a quick pace, hoping to reach the other side as quickly as possible. Don't stop, just keep going. You can ask the kid-- He thought he saw something move in the dark as he ( ... )
