Max slipped out of her room, already prepared and equipped for a continuation of last night's mission. Crowbar, flashlight, and radio all on her person, she paused to glance up and down her hall before turning to her right and heading to the pre-arranged meeting place where she was to wait for Thursday and Renji.

Instead, she found herself toppling over the edge of whatever she'd been lying on. She landed with a yelp, in a messy tangle of limbs and... blanket?
The maybe-blanket was everywhere. It was all she could see. Probably because it was covering her head, but she quickly decided that there was no way was it going to be staying there. As the Great Ninja Yuffie, she could win a fight with a maybe-blanket with both hands tied behind her back!
She struggled with it, twisting and rolling, until finally she managed to poke her head out of an opening. "Finally!" She said, after a few deep gulps of air.
It was a blanket. And it was still dark, so Yuffie found herself squinting a little, but... yeah, a blanket. The blanket she'd just conquered. But what was the blanket doing there? Hadn't she just been stuck, floating in that freaky dark-nothing-thing, with the ( ... )

Unfortunately, it had been for nothing, because Rika had apparently skipped another meal herself. Hanyuu didn't want to jump to conclusions and panic, but given everything she had witnessed throughout her years of existence, that was a difficult task...
The moment the doors unlocked, the spirit was up. She paused only long enough to grab her flashlight, before running out of the room and down the hall. She needed to get out early; early enough to catch Rika as she came out of her room. Hanyuu still didn't know what room that was, but if she waited in the same hallway as before, then surely she'd find her...

Hopefully, wherever Soma is, he was using it well.
As per Alita's instructions, she started to move down the hall. The night was young, so hopefully there wouldn't be any need to actually use her weapon...

It wasn't until Arlene shook her shoulder that Rena finally paused to awaken. "Mmm...?" the girl murmured as she slowly turned her head to one cheek. A single eye fluttered open.
For a split second, nothing registered. The room was far too dark, the other occupant far too comforting for Rena to catch on. It was like surfacing after a long dive: the one singular moment when little made sense. Everything eventually clicked, of course, but the transition was hardly soothing.
Rena jerked the other eye open violently and glanced at the one hovering over her. "D-Did I fall asleep?" Her hands instinctively pulled the covers closer. "Did I?"

"Shh.... It's okay," the Bride replied quietly. "You must have, but it's night now, my dear." Her heart was going out to the girl and internally the Bride sighed. Once a mother, always a mother. She wondered what kind of family life Rena had back home. Maybe she'd ask some other time.

Granted, the girl hadn't had proper sleep in days, but in this hospital, rest was hardly conducive. At least, to her.
Rena's thoughts suddenly fell on the woman's presence, and she wondered--nervously--if something had prompted her to coming here. "Is... Is everything okay, Arlene-san?" she asked quietly, crawling up to her elbows. "Nothing happened, right? Right?"

It didn't take long, as usual, to make it to Miku's room. Without hesitating, he knocked on the door, calling softly.
"Hinasaki? It's Sagara... Sousuke," he clarified awkwardly.

He seemed confused and alarmed all at once. Had she been... crying? Oh no. What was he supposed to do now? He didn't know the first thing about comforting upset women... what should he do?
"Hinasaki..." Sousuke approached her slowly. "What's the matter? May I sit?" He gestured to her bed.

The bed creaked with new weight as he settled down beside her. Miku made herself scoot closer to him, as she took careful note of his size and the way the scar on his face was dull white-tan. Old, but then, he said he'd been a soldier.
"I was thinking about Alfons, and then I couldn't stop crying? Isn't that silly? I just..." she hicced again, dangerously. The tears were closing up her throat. "Couldn't stop..." she moved and clung to him, burying her face in his chest and started sobbing anew.
