[ from here ]Shion continued to move down the hall, her eyes peering around at every corner she could see. Sadly, she was yet to see these so called “monsters”, but she knew that could always happen later, too

Still not as many people here as Alkaid was expecting, considering that there had to be hundreds of patients in this place. Well, maybe they were just slow or something. Or it could be that there just weren't that many other girls in here. Not like The World, where there were a ton of guys who played girls. She wondered if any of the guys here were actually played by girls?
That'd be kind of funny, actually.
"All right, where to next?" She was speaking to herself. Somehow, making a little bit of sound made it a little better. She'd reached the end of a hallway. Shining her flashlight left, then slowly right, she bit her lower lip. "Huhhh.."
She finally chose right. Not like she knew where she was going, anyway. Damn mazes.
Yuuhi hurried down the main hallways and back into the room block one. He hadn't done any running around in the female hallways, but it was laid out much the same as the others, so it wasn't too difficult to navigate. Sakura's room wasn't far from here, he was sure of it. Now all he had to do was reach her before Kurogane did.
Claire made her way back the way the nurse had led her a short time before, retracing her steps. Her journal was with her and she paused to make a brief sketch of the areas she passed. It would keep her from getting lost on her way back. If she even needed to come back this way. She hoped not, but everyone else made her think that getting away wouldn't be so easy.
It was very, very dark. Melissa was relying more on the thoughts she picked up involuntarily around her to not hit anything than actually trying to see where she was going, but the sporadic flashlight beams did manage to light up some of the path.
Flashlights. She was going to have to find out where to get one of those.
On the subject of things she needed that the nurses stole, Melissa also needed a watch. One of those cheap quartz things would do, she just wanted to be able to tell the time. Melissa really didn't like the midnight hour creeping up on her with no warning, but it looked like she was going to have to deal with that for now.
She hoped midnight came soon. The extra thoughts and emotions beating her skull in were really starting to get on her nerves.
'Horror' might have been a strong word for the hallway, with a handful of other women and girls rushing past, back and forth, but it was still unnatural. Compared to the daytime, she could see why someone would almost expect monsters to appear out of nowhere in this place. Seiya couldn't say for sure whether it was her instincts telling her this place was dangerous, or a combination of the dark atmosphere and the stories she'd already been told. The man she was going to meet had shown a fairly convincing piece of evidence about the dangers here. If 'upstairs' was, in fact, where the more interesting things were kept (she could hope for her change star, although she wouldn't count on it) monsters ought to be more likely there too
