Night 29: Stairs (Waiting Room/Lobby 1)

[From here.]

Seeing no reason to stall, William was quick to follow Wesker up the stairs. He didn't bother asking why Wesker was waiting for him because the answer was fairly obvious--and William wasn't going to deny he wasn't predictable when it came to his experiments.

There was no sign of anyone else waiting here. Then again, Thursday mused that she had no idea what Farfarello and MOMO actually looked like, even if they had been waiting here. Based on the way MOMO had written her name, Thursday guessed she probably wasn't the shinigami from yesterday afternoon. All the same, she probably should have asked.

Settling her back to the wall, Thursday waited.

[coming from here]Only one person waiting here, it seemed. Well. Time to start asking, then. Stepping out of the shadows smoothly, Farfarello cleared his throat to get the woman's attention. He didn't say anything right away, giving her a moment to take in his rather... singular appearance ( ... )

Thursday started as someone else seemed to materialize from the shadows. Damn - she hadn't noticed him coming. She really was getting too old for this.

The man who'd turned up was rather startling in appearance, to say the least. Emma's comment about football hooligans came, rather ridiculously, to mind, and Thursday nearly went for her baseball bat before he spoke. So this was one of her team members for tonight? Well, she thought wryly, at least he looked like he could take care of himself.

She nodded at him. "I'm Thursday. I take it you're Farfarello, then?" The name was familiar, but he definitely didn't look like any of the BookWorlders she'd met.

It was a good thing Farfarello had never been very politically inclined, since Hitsugaya had apparently managed to pair him up with an Englishwoman. His lips quirked briefly into a sardonic half-smile, and he chuckled softly. "Aye, that'd be me." His accent was deepening a little already, as it tended to do when he spoke with other people from the islands.

"There was a girl waiting a little farther back down the hall. Might be MOMO, might not. Probably worth checking." If she was their other teammate, the group was starting to sound like a bad joke. So an Englishwoman, and Irishman, and a little girl walk into a pub...

They had been lucky enough to get by the monster with no problem, and that was reason enough for Roy to hope that the rest of the night would go as easily. Then again, it was just as simple for a stroke of good luck to fail, if only to keep things even.

There was no real point in wondering over it. What happened, happened, and he would handle whatever was thrown at him.

The stairwell was empty, which wasn't surprising. With the way it was cramped, he could understand why most patients would want to get up or down them as quickly as possible. So, in that vein, he quickly led his group up.

Axel was generally a more optimistic person when it came to the thought of being ambushed. Whenever something wanted to attack them they would, and any other time should be spent maneuvering through the halls as quick as they could.

It was a good thing that the stairwell was empty, especially now that there were three decent sized men took a good portion of the space as he followed Roy upwards.

Thank god for small favors, and all of that. Hughes still had his knife out and ready, but at least it looked like he didn't need it for the moment.

Keeping quiet, he followed after Roy and Axel.

Quatre had yet to be upstairs in this "hospital" but any sort of nerves he had about going further than he had before wasn't enough to make him stop. A little boy (or at least he thought it was a little boy) was having who knew what done to him.

He was quiet as he made his way up them though, paying close attention in case something was waiting for them.

Xelloss didn't really need to take the lead from here--his map wasn't exactly thorough upstairs. He found his thoughts still wandering on the possibilities of what was happening to Lord Hellmaster.

Quatre had dealt with the Arts and Crafts group before as well? Popular organization. Though it seemed that their structure wasn't entirely clear. On the plus side, perhaps they'd see that small army of burly men come running past again. That had been very funny.

Why did it seem like he was always getting a late start?

Ugh, stairs. Bella sighed, making her way up them slowly. She wasn’t surprised when she stubbed her toe on one of the aforementioned steps, a curse escaping her lips before she had time to hold it back. Clamping down on her lip, she continued on.
