S.T was navigating by a fingertip on the wall and the slight breeze of a functioning HVAC system. The halls were dark again. Completely empty, too. He was out early. And he was still thinking.
Something so fallible, he'd said. So that talk about a device had been true? Freaky. Maybe he really wasn't human. Replaced by a machine

Still no blood, no signs of trouble. He wondered if the guy who was going to meet him had already set out. It worried him that his description might not have been clear enough, but if it wasn't, then the guy was an idiot. Simple as that.
He continued trotting along. All of this was a routine by now. Then again, the fact that it was a routine was what bothered him. Status quo wasn't something that Riku had planned on returning to.

It was a good thing some of Kurama's senses were still present. Being a fox had its perks, certainly. His night vision wasn't astounding, but he didn't have much need for a flashlight in this lighting so far.

Nothing unusual here, either. Just a handful of other prisoners and himself. Without the pink glow from last night, the hallways were much darker and visibility was minimal, but Zero knew where he was going (as far as the main hallway was concerned) so it wasn't necessary to pull out the flashlight yet.
Ignoring the unfamiliar prisoners around him, he continued onward, still going at a brisk pace.

No dead bodies this time. Jesse heaved a sigh of relief that wasn't appropriately quiet enough for the situation and balanced himself against the closest wall, for just a moment. Just a hell of a lot of darkness, that's all. Well, luckily he'd acquired the flashlight that he'd missed the first time in his panic; clicking it on, the way before him was now illuminated.
He meandered down the halls and to the right, working off his memory from how this place was in the day. Up ahead there was a door that was wide open.

Thankfully, this portion of the hall was completely empty, leaving them with relative privacy. He glanced over at the other blond. "Well, it was all right, but..."
Of course, Claude once again considered just omitting what had happened with Mom. But by now Guy had probably noticed the unease that followed his question, which would make the lie pretty obvious. After all they'd been through together, and the promises they'd made to each other, could he really just sweep something like that under the rug? Out of everyone in the institute, Guy was probably the only one who could understand his anxiety about what his mother was planning...
"To be honest, I'm worried about my mom," Claude finally confessed. "She's...still got her sights set on the basement."
