The next hall was just like the hall before. According to the map, the one door Kurama passed by on the left would have opened up to another patient block exactly like the one he had exited from only a minute ago.
He continued down the hallway, quickly and quietly, until he reached the door at the end. Kurama paused before opening it, having caught the whistling sound of wind even through the door. So it wasn't just his good eyesight that he'd kept, then. He supposed his somewhat heightened senses would have to be used to his advantage then.
Kurama pushed the door open, stepping out into freezing, windy weather.

And he was back inside in only a fraction of the time it had originally taken him to get outside. He took the moment to sweep some of the hair out of his face. The pros and cons of keeping long hair...
