He set off, a little man with a toothpick and a flashlight, past his room's hallway and into the adjoining one. To be frank, he hadn't really cared where Castiel was cooped up before. Of course the lack of knowledge was going to bite him in the ass. Big surprise there. While he didn't intend to stand in the hallway all night, leaning

Daemon stepped out into the main hallway and paused for a moment to get his bearings, sweeping his flashlight beam up and down the hall. Monsters rarely wandered this close to their rooms, so he took a moment to debate which direction he should head in. The board today had been filled with talk of a new wing that had been opened for the first time last night, so there was unexplored territory. But he was also itching to perhaps see if he could find this elusive entrance to the third floor he'd heard about today as well. He hadn't spent as much time on the second floor as the first, and the time he had spent there was for specific purposes.
He still wanted to find his way up more than out at the moment. He had a few debts to settle.
[Waiting for Chipp]

It was another goddamned hallway!
"Isn't there an exit around here? Damn!" Chipp chose this time to complain rather loudly about his situation, which proved to be a bad idea because he suddenly realized that he wasn't alone. It was difficult to not notice a flashlight beam hitting you in the face, and it was probably difficult not to hear his cursing at suddenly blinded. Well, damn!
There was no point in trying to run now, not that Chipp even considered doing that in the first place. Instead, he decided to be proactive and marched right up to the guy with the flashlight, assuming somewhat of a defensive stance and making sure that he'd be within arm's reach if the guy tried to run. There was no way he was going to pass up this chance for answers!
"Hey! What the hell's going on here?!"

Odd. Four weeks of sleeping through this and things hadn't changed at all.
"Calm down. Are you new here? Did you just wake up?" he asked, although he was pretty sure he already knew the answer to that. Despite the male's somewhat defensive stance, Daemon remained relaxed, almost casual as he gave the other a once-over. "What's your name?"

Though Chipp didn't look fully relaxed, he backed off for the time being and nodded at the guy's questions. Alright, this was getting weird. Was this guy the same as him, and not a guard or someone like that? It did kind of make sense that maybe whoever got him also got other people, though it wasn't like Chipp would have been surprised if he was just unlucky.
"... Name's Chipp. Chipp Zanuff," He said, seeing no harm in offering his name. "And yeah, I just woke up, so I guess that counts as new. What about you?"

At Chipp's question, he was shaking his head before the man even got the entire sentence out of his mouth. "Anything you might have had upon arrival is probably gone. They're very thorough about that. No one comes in with any advantage, it seems. They take weapons, clothing, anything that links us with home. Also there are people here who would have had... special abilities in their home realms. Many of them have lost those as well, or at least have had them severely restrained."
Daemon motioned to the makeshift staff he'd acquired in his time here. "Everyone makes do with what we can find or craft for ourselves. And most people travel in small groups. Safety in numbers, but not large enough to draw too much attention to the things hunting us."

"What the hell, how can they do all of that?!" Of course, Daemon probably didn't know, but Chipp couldn't hide his irritation and surprise. His weapons, his clothing... and even the ability that his Master taught him. All of it was gone! And what the hell was he supposed to do about this? Chipp had to do something about it after all, if not just for him, then the other people that were kidnapped too ( ... )

"Alright, then we should get going! The sooner we start, the sooner we can get out of here!"
Chipp left, heading towards the door he just came out of with great gusto. He strode right on through it, a man proud in his purpose and with a solid determination to bring justice down on the man responsible for his kidnapping. And then he remembered that he didn't exactly know how to even get on the second floor, yet he was attempting to lead them there. Plus, Daemon was the one with the flashlight ( ... )
