At least whoever ran this place had enough decency to put some hospital slippers in the dresser. They were flimsy, but better than nothing, and he wiggled his feet into them. After trying the door to the outside and failing to open it, Alec went to sit back on the bed. There was something under his pillow. He wondered why he hadn’t noticed it before, but then again, he had been busy wondering if he was dead. His fingers closed around it and he pulled it out. Just by the shape he could tell that it was a flashlight.
Maybe it’s not a prison. I’m supposed to be a dangerous man; they wouldn’t leave me with something I could use as a weapon. Unless it’s more mind games, but I wouldn’t give them that much

Leon had been both a pleasant and dangerous distraction. His forward personality was a refreshing change from the underlying motives of his customers. There were no secrets to unravel with Leon, none but his own. And now, not even those...
As such, D had no intention of ever seeing Leon again.
Turning his thoughts away from the brash detective, D focused his attention on the gentle slumbering of Tet-chan beside him, allowing his slim fingers to briefly comb through the totetsu's fur.
