My weekly proof of existence

Work: Work was much better this week. In fact, it was so good, I made it out before 8pm every day except Friday. And last Monday, I was even out the door at 6:50pm, which is absolutely unheard of. I don't know if this coming week will be just as good, but let me tell you, it's amazing how much getting just one extra an hour to yourself a day is. ( Read more... )

OMG, I didn't remember that Harry and I had the same birthday. I'm much older though, even if you convert me back from dogs'-years. *g*

It sounds like you've done a wonderful job training him! He sounds very well-behaved for somebody who still has half a year or more of (mental) puppy-hood left.

Is he particularly a one-dog person, or will he not have much problem when you go to Kingston next autumn?

I think he'll probably have an easier time than I will. Keeshonds tend to love their whole family rather than attach themselves to one person, like some breeds do. And he seems to like my mom as much as me, and she'll still be around.

He has been easy to train, so we sort of lucked out. Keeshonds are also low energy dogs, so you don't have to worry about keeping them super active and entertained like working dogs like Border Collies or other herding dogs. They tend to grow up pretty quickly and mellow out. They're perfect people who want a dog they can take for a brisk walk or play fetch with, but don't want to spend hours exercising to get them tired and keep their minds active. They're pretty content to just lie around the house and look out the window.

It's good that you've still got work. Here's hoping they'll keep you on out May!

Keats is an interesting character, isn't he? I can't decide if he's a manipulative bastard to get his way, or if he is one because he genuinely thinks he's doing the right thing.

I think he generally thinks he's doing the right thing.

And if that's the case, I'd be very interested exactly why he thinks he's doing the right thing.

Well, I'm supposed to show up next Monday, and that's May, so, fingers crossed!
