I'm doing something tutoring related every day this week, except for Saturday. Sunday I had my online student, yesterday I had both my first shift working at the learning centre then came home to do another two hours with my online student. It arrived yesterday, two days ahead of its estimated arrival date. Luckily my mom was home to sign for it and that the FedEx truck could get past the tree cutting service the new neighbors apparently had working that morning (according to Mom). Just 5 days until I ship for home ( Read more... )

Tomorrow is the last day of the work placement. Huzzah! Not that I haven't enjoyed working there, but working 10-6 everyday when you're not getting paid for it starts to suck. But I'm glad I did it. I met some cool people and have new things to add to my CV.

Finished the first week of my work placement on Friday and it went really well. The dress code is casual (always the best!) and the people I work with are really cool and friendly. I get to write, too, which makes it even more awesome. All the days have flown by really quickly, and I've been using my hour lunch break to write (as well as eat).

Well, only for four weeks. And I'm not getting paid. Still, it'll be my first time in an office environment in, oh, about 8 months? I'm actually looking forward to it. I am a weird one who genuinely likes working. If it didn't involve getting up early, that would be even better!
