Such. Much. Tutoring.
I'm doing something tutoring related every day this week, except for Saturday. Sunday I had my online student, yesterday I had both my first shift working at the learning centre then came home to do another two hours with my online student. Today I have another shift at the learning centre. Wednesday I have another shift with my online student. Thursday I have a two-hour training session at the learning centre. Friday I have another, regular shift at the learning centre.
And then classes start again next week. But only for two weeks (plus one extra class of the PG cert). Then things should calm down.
But, my online student told me she's raised her grade from a D- to a C+ since working with me, so I'm happy about that. Since she's actually paying me, I was hoping I'd be able to make some sort of difference. And yesterday in the learning centre they told me I did a good job. It's only four hours a shift and it goes pretty quickly.
Now I have to get back to working on this group project for the PG cert and the briefing paper for the part of the PG cert course we finished before Christmas (yeah, that's how they decided to set the deadline for assignments, I have no idea why). Eventually that other thing I'm working on...oh yeah, my novel, yeah, I'll be able to work on that again, too. And the TV pilot. And the short film.
Or maybe I'll just drink my coffee and go back to bed.
