"Rairai..." Pika walked up behind Ziva, letting his presence be known for sure. He was a bit light on his feet, even after gaining so much weight from. Well, not the time for this. Ziva had not seen him like this, She did not know.

Daniel was gone? But... did he find a way home, was he missing. Was he... nonono, it is not a time to think he is dead, he was not a target in any way. He got home, he was 'lost' as the files put it. He kept close, he wished Ziva could just carry him, but he was much to large for something like that.

This sucked.

Ziva heard a sound coming from behind her, and turned to look. While she hadn't seen Pika since he had evolved, she noticed the similarities. Besides, there weren't that many 'mice with personality' in this city.

"Pika?" She asked, just to make sure before making any other moves towards him. She figured it was better safe then sorry, and that Pika would forgive her for the doubt later.

Pika nodded, "Chu." He sparked his cheeks, something that was a definite sign of who he was.

"It is you..." Ziva mumbled, now reaching out her hand in greeting. "He is gone, Pika. I do not know where he is." She stopped to open the journal again.

"There is something in here for you also." She handed it to him, to let him flip through it and find his name. She had seen it in there when she had found it originally.

Megan popped into the room directly. After a little bit of work the nice woman there gave her the letter meant for her. It wasn't very long, or very detailed. The didn't know each other that well ( ... )

Bobby was running hard. He couldn't believe this. Not now of all times and especially not Daniel. Daniel was the one who had greeted him here. He was the one who Bobby had first met and had even made friends with. It just couldn't be true ( ... )

Ziva looked up when she heard the man come into the room. She waited for him to say something before she said anything to him, a habit she had always been in. "I am Ziva David." She replied softly, before nodding at his next question.

"It was too quiet this morning, I should have realized it sooner." She said. "It seems as if he just disappeared." She noted some of the things around the room. She picked up the journal and handed it out to him.

"I believe you are in this also." Was all she said, waiting for him to take a look.

Bobby stored the name away, he recalled possibly hearing it on the network or running across it before. After all, Ziva wasn't exactly a common name. Bobby bit his lip when she said he just 'disappeared.' It was all too familiar to him.

He hated losing people close to him ( ... )

"Yes." She said, with a slight nod. "That is what I did with mine." She motioned to her pocket. "I do not believe that others should be reading what is meant for a certain person's eyes only." She waited for him to make his decision on what he would do, it was his choice to keep the letter or leave it in the journal.

She believed that Daniel would want them to keep the letters. She knew that she would at least.

Derek went to the apartments alone, a stupid move considering his recent bite, but he wanted to see for himself that Daniel dis--went home. And he wasn't going to wait. So with a bat in hand, nightstick attached to his belt, Derek left the hotel.

Few words were exchanged when he arrived. He didn't know what to say. But when he introduced himself, the woman gave him something, a single sheet of paper. Derek hadn't expected anything. They had just met. Maybe the bite had something to do with it ( ... )

It was hard when anyone left without warning. Kaylee probably wouldn't have come to the apartment if it hadn't been for Ziva's request. No, she would have been out searching, trying to make sure Daniel wasn't lost or stuck somewhere and needing help.

Ziva sounded pretty convincing, though.

She paused at the door to glance up at Kang. They'd both been relatively quiet on the walk over, but they didn't really need to talk, did they? Kaylee had a good idea of what Kang might have been thinking, and she was sure that he probably had a pretty good guess as to what was going through her head.

One hand rested on Kang's forearm for a moment, and Kaylee blinked back any sign of pooling tears before pushing through the door into Daniel's apartment.

Kang trusted Ziva's judgement. She was a smart woman, and she wouldn't have said what she had if she didn't have overwhelming evidence to back it up. That didn't mean that he didn't have his doubts, though; he needed to see for himself.

He was still disheartened by Slith's disappearance nearly a month ago. Harry had cast a spell to try and locate him, but... nothing. The draconian sincerely hoped that his best friend had just gone home. And now Daniel, the first person he'd encountered in Manhattan, and nearly as close to him as the sivak, had gone missing. Again. But this time wasn't like when the idiot had gotten bitten, he knew it.

Wings drooping slightly, he entered the building with Kaylee, glancing down at the girl. She was taking this hard, too.
