They didn't have much in the way of time. The hastily thrown together meeting had used a lot, but plans had managed to come together. Laharl wasn't displeased. He was a bit surprised as many showed up as they had. Etna had done a good job.

Heading to the south, they hoped to get the chance to use this boat this one girl had to try to get to one of the smaller islands. The problem with this was it all hinged on the group in Central Park. With so many heading there, he hoped both monsters would make an appearance. They should, right?

As long as they did, the short trip to Governor's Island should be possible. It was a chance they might not get again.

Anxiously Laharl glanced back towards the city, wondering how things were going. Part of him wished he had gone there, but he was still pretty sure going to Central Park wouldn't find Flonne. She was out there... somewhere.

Glancing to Kaylee, who'd supplied not only the boat but radios, he spoke up. "Oi... so, anything yet?" Referring to Central Park's progress, of course.

Kaylee was still tired from what had apparently been a very busy weekend--it was too bad she didn't have an inkling of a clue what she'd been working on. The only reasons she'd convinced herself to come out at this point were the need for radios, the hope that they'd find Bill and Garnet, and the small fact that there was no way she was going to let that boat even out of her sight without herself or Goofy on board. Oh, no, not her baby.

While checking the boat over to make sure everything was in order, Kaylee had been keeping an ear on the radio. Things were certainly going down...

"Only heard 'bout one monster. Seems the other ain't in sight at all."

"A fine bit of luck so far, I'd say," Balthier quipped, tapping his gun against his shoulder as he kept an eye out for any uninvited guests. He was a little irritated at being separated from his partner, but he understood the reasoning behind it. He and Fran would have to discuss the events of this excursion later, he supposed. In the meantime, he'd try and make the best of the situation. After all, it was better if he came back with a good story to tell, wasn't it?

The pirate's usual smirk found its way onto his face as he looked over his shoulder back at them. "Let's just hope it stays as it is, hm?"

"Hopefully luck holds out and the other one won't show up," Simon added, in a voice that didn't exactly convey his confidence in this idea. Things always tended to go wrong, at least when it was the captain he was following. Maybe without him around, they'd be luckier than usual.

Not that he was going to take any chances. Simon had his bag in hand, full of all the first-aid supplies he could take in hopes of being prepared for anything.

Almost anything, at least.

As they approached the tunnel entrance, Hitsugaya glanced around, trying to note a safe place to leave his gigai. He hadn't chosen to leave it behind yet, as he would need to give some last instructions to their group, as well as explain the whole gigai thing. He wasn't sure any of them would be able to see him and Renji.

He supposed they'd find out soon enough.

It was a bit strange that Matsumoto hadn't come along. She'd agreed to help with the fight in Central Park. She could look after herself, but... he was still worried a little.

Part of Kaede wanted to be with her sensei during the attack on Central Park. She worried about him deeply, and knew he could get in over his head.

At the same time, though, she realized that her talents would be better put to use here, as they used the diversion Central Park would afford to check out a few other areas they had been barred from.

Armed to the teeth under her trenchcoat, she walked along side her companions, eyes already roaming over their surroundings with feigned casualness. She remembered what happened the last time she had gone down into a tunnel in Manhattan...

Renji was still in his gigai as well. In case they decided against losing them, Renji had brought the sword he'd gotten from Minako with him. It was nice to have a weapon in both forms and so he was prepared for whatever Captain Hitsugaya decided. He worried for Minako for a moment, he wasn't sure what she was going to be doing during all of this, but he had his obligatiosn to Soul Society to uphold.

He glanced down at the small captain, "See a good place to ditch the gigai, yet," he asked.

Thomas waited at the entrance for the others to be ready. He was starting to get really frustrated with himself and angry at the people who had done this. There was still no clue or trace of the missing people's whereabouts and that meant that Harry was likely still in danger. He was starting to wish he'd been more open about his sibling relationship with the man because dammit he felt like he was having to restrain himself from showing more emotion than he should.

He hoped there were crabs down there. He wanted something to shoot. He checked his gun again, trying to keep his mind off of his missing brother.

Celes was there as soon as she possibly could be, preferring not to have anyone wait for her. Several people now knew that she was capable of being the leader if the need arose and so she made sure to be at the meeting place early just in case this was one of those times.

The ex-general didn't mind putting her skills to use, particularly in a situation like this.

Starting to organize her thoughts, she glanced at the man who had made it before she had. "Well, looks like this'll be interesting."

And for the third now now, Croix headed down to the subway, ready to explore again. He guessed that's why he had been put on the subway team, not that it really bothered him. That was more reserved for the fact that this was planned by the so called Demon Overlord of Manhattan... for all obvious reasons.

Two people were already there. Good, they had a couple of things to check and the least time they could spend down there the better, especially with the other thing going on. They didn't need even more crabs chasing after them.

Glad to finally be out and doing something instead of standing by and just watching, Ashe approached the top of the crater. Evidence of the last battle to take place was all around. Dried crab carcasses littered the area, some beaten in and crushed, others split in pieces and spread around. It was a disgusting sight, in any sense of the word. All she could say about the scene that was positive was that at least none of their corpses were down there.

She fully intended to keep it that way.

Her thoughts went more to the tunnel in the middle of the crater. This, supposedly, was where the last batch of disappeared residents had come up. Perhaps, if they were lucky, they'd be able to find something that would clue them in to just where they kept taking people.

Turning away from the crater, she addressed the rest of the team. "Are we ready, then?"

Starfire had made it out to the appointed location as soon as she could. She was worried about the people who had gone missing, and not at all amused that it was so close to Blorthog. But on the other hand, the way everyone was banding together to look for the missing people was heartening. It made her a little happier to see the friends coming together like this.

So as soon as she was there, she glanced around to see if there was anyone she knew before nodding to the woman who spoke.

"I believe I am ready."

Luke fon Fabre felt a bit out of place. He didn't really know any of these people, but then that was the point of this, wasn't it? Helping out and meeting some of those here. He'd missed out on helping out far too many times. He'd been overdue to try to assist, which was why he jumped when he heard about this.

Yeah, sure, he could have joined in on the big group going to Central Park, but... yeaaaah. He'd decided to pass on that option. As it was Tear and Natalia were probably going to worry about him.

Luke glanced over his sword one last time. He'd pulled it out while waiting to clean it a bit, as it had seen little use since he'd acquired it. Happy with how it looked, he pushed it back into the sheath that, rather unusually, was strapped horizontally to his lower back. Glancing around those gathered, he gave a firm nod.

"I'm ready when you all are."
