Glad to finally be out and doing something instead of standing by and just watching, Ashe approached the top of the crater. Evidence of the last battle to take place was all around. Dried crab carcasses littered the area, some beaten in and crushed, others split in pieces and spread around. It was a disgusting sight, in any sense of the word. All she could say about the scene that was positive was that at least none of their corpses were down there.

She fully intended to keep it that way.

Her thoughts went more to the tunnel in the middle of the crater. This, supposedly, was where the last batch of disappeared residents had come up. Perhaps, if they were lucky, they'd be able to find something that would clue them in to just where they kept taking people.

Turning away from the crater, she addressed the rest of the team. "Are we ready, then?"

Starfire had made it out to the appointed location as soon as she could. She was worried about the people who had gone missing, and not at all amused that it was so close to Blorthog. But on the other hand, the way everyone was banding together to look for the missing people was heartening. It made her a little happier to see the friends coming together like this.

So as soon as she was there, she glanced around to see if there was anyone she knew before nodding to the woman who spoke.

"I believe I am ready."

Luke fon Fabre felt a bit out of place. He didn't really know any of these people, but then that was the point of this, wasn't it? Helping out and meeting some of those here. He'd missed out on helping out far too many times. He'd been overdue to try to assist, which was why he jumped when he heard about this.

Yeah, sure, he could have joined in on the big group going to Central Park, but... yeaaaah. He'd decided to pass on that option. As it was Tear and Natalia were probably going to worry about him.

Luke glanced over his sword one last time. He'd pulled it out while waiting to clean it a bit, as it had seen little use since he'd acquired it. Happy with how it looked, he pushed it back into the sheath that, rather unusually, was strapped horizontally to his lower back. Glancing around those gathered, he gave a firm nod.

"I'm ready when you all are."

Alice bounded up to the group, her gait still as graceful and unrestrained as if nothing was amiss in the city. She didn't look at all prepared to go fighting anything - she was only wearing a long, dark coat over a sweater and jeans, a matching hat, gloves, and a scarf. She didn't have any weapons on her at all...she figured she didn't need them, really.

She glanced at the rest of the group - she didn't have anything or anyone to lose on this mission. She was just curious, and felt the overwhelming desire to help somehow. She didn't smell or hear anything that was remarkably unusual, but that could always change at the drop of a hat.

"Ready to go," she chirped, glancing just past the group at their intended destination.

Jayne ambled up with a scowl. What was he doing here, anyway? He didn't know anyone. Hell, he might not even know any of those people who'd gone and disappeared. They should have been more attentive; then they wouldn't have gotten kidnapped or whatever the hell had happened.

He looked at everyone who'd gathered so far. Not the kind of group he might have hoped for, he decided. The one might have a sword - what use would that be, anyway? He'd have to get up close to get anywhere with it - but none of them looked all that strong. Figured. He'd just have to pick up the slack, then.

"We gonna go? It's right over there, ain't that far a walk. Why're we just standin' here waitin'?" Jayne was sorely tempted to just head out and look around himself. Only thing holding him back was the memory of that crab bite he'd gotten before... he didn't want a repeat of that.
