Thomas ran his sweaty hand through his hair, he didn't look too good but then again no one else was looking very hot either. They'd walked forever it seemed, stopping to rest a LOT just because of fatigue from a bite and lack of food, water, and proper sleep. Thomas paused to rest against the wall, closing his eyes. The inner voice of his demon was getting louder and harder to ignore. He hadn't fed on anyone down here...not even a sip...and it was nearly killing him not to. Thomas could feel the urge bubbling in him to just take one of the girls right there...it would be easy with their injuries and maybe it would heal his own.

"Fuck," he muttered under his breath, barely audible, and pushed the thoughts back. Empty Night if they didn't get out of here soon it wasn't the crabs or the giant monster they'd have to worry about...it would be the monster Thomas would become to feed on them.

Stop thinking about it. Stop thinking about it. he thought to himself as he opened his eyes again and moved to walk forward again. His arm ( ... )

Minako had followed suit, using part of her shirt to bandage the wound on her own arm (leaving her abdomen exposed, but right now it was the least of her worries). The worse she felt, the quieter she became. She lagged behind the group, tired of trying to keep up. She'd managed to pull her hair into a ponytail, but she knew it didn't do much to improve her looks. She was fatigued, nauseous, weak...

She nearly cried when they came across the rock. Was this really how it was going to end? She could tell Thomas was getting irritated, his inability to keep himself completely fed was probably a contributing factor... She watched him lash out on the rock as she slid down a wall, supporting herself against the wall of the tunnel. "This is ridiculous," she managed to choke out.

Thomas heard what Travis said and took a deep breath, the guy was right. Thomas had to keep his head if he wanted to get out of here. He let out his breath and took a step back from the wall, it wasn't like the cavern...they could dig through if they had to.

Or maybe not, Thomas looked over at Travis and then up where he was pointing the light. He had to squint but he could tell Travis was right...there WAS a way out. "That's going to be a bitch to climb," he muttered, looking over at their small party of the sick and weak. The demon in him stirred a little...weak prey was good pray...easy to arose and pull emotions from...to drain their energy would be a snap and then he could climb up and---

NO Thomas snapped back at it in his mind. "It's worth a shot. Who all thinks they have the energy to climb up there and dig?"

Above Ground, Investigating the Crater loz_wolf February 23 2009, 08:35:08 UTC
Loz paced the perimiter of the crater, studying the chaotic mix of debris that tapered into a dark space near the center. He'd come alone, though he thought others might join him; he simply hadn't wanted to wait. He wasn't going to go wandering without telling anyone what he was up to, though. The first thing he'd done when he'd located the crater was find a shop with a working computer nearby and post to his journal about it ( ... )

Among the many matters that Aya had decided to concern herself with, the growing instances of people disappearance was one of them. So she had no qualms with closing up the precinct early that morning and making her way around the city. One of those days where she decided best to exercise her duty of scouting the area for anything ( ... )

Zack had been searching the city a good portion of time before he finally took notice of Union Square Park and it's enormous crater. These things had been popping up all over the city ever since Clover Baby decided to surface, and were, therefore, suspicious. Maybe the monsters had something to do with all these disappearances...

Katana in hand, and a pistol tucked securely on its holster, the SOLDIER stopped short when he noticed a couple other people gathering by the crater. Damn, he should have come sooner! They just put themselves in danger!

Hurrying forward a bit, the dark-haired man stopped once more just outside the site and stepped back. What was Loz doing here? Hadn't he told him to stay back? Well, it wasn't like he was in control of what the other man wanted to do, but still.

So instead, he scratched the back of his head, grinning sheepishly. "I hope you're ready for whatever's down there, then." He said, not sounding worried in the least. "You guys got weapons on you, right?"

Stupid question, but it had to be asked.

Celes had been paying attention to the network for once and she'd seen the message that popped up about a crater near Union Square. That had to be the one that had recently coughed up monster number 2. No one knew much about it as far as she'd heard. If one person was going down to investigate, then he'd need backup. With these things, the more people who went, the better the chances of survival.

Plus, it would give her something to do and information in the long run.

So, she dressed lightly in order to be able to move easily, grabbed her two swords and headed out as quickly as she could. She was rested, a small blessing at this point, and it didn't take long for her to get there. She was barely winded once she reached the designated place, which was fortunate. She'd need all the energy she could muster.

Three other people had arrived before her and she approached cautiously. "Looks like a party gathering. I assume you all want to see what's down there too."
