While it was late at night, Sora hadn't been able to sleep much...they'd searched all over the city, mostly in the surrounding cafes and stores, but still hadn't found Namine. Every hour gone by without success made Sora more and more antsy...as if it wasn't bad enough from himself, he felt these feelings of fear compounded from Kairi, and Loz, and everyone else in the hotel. Losing her is NOT an option!

He was pacing up and down the second floor lobby area of the hotel when he thought he heard voices and noises outside. It was difficult to tell, since the hotel's walls were nearly soundproof, but it was loud enough to attract his attention. A few flights of stairs down and he was on the ground floor, already preparing himself to summon the Keyblade in case of trouble.

But as soon as he was near enough to the entrance, he saw a familiar flash of light blond hair.

"NAMINE!"

He rushed outside the hotel to her, his heart pounding. She was back! But it wasn't the same as the last time she'd gone...she looked afraid, and freezing ( ... )

Once everyone was inside, the young emperor hung back behind the group, feeling oddly out of place. He was still a newcomer to Namine's life and as such, he didn't need to be hanging over her shoulders all the time. There would be other chances to speak with her and be sure she was all right.

For now, he wouldn't pressure her, but neither was he going very far. So he stood out in the hallway, a little bit away from everything and tried to think of something, anything, else he could do.

His attention was caught by Jeff starting to walk away and he headed over. Perhaps the other boy had information on the kidnapper. "It is good to see that Namine has so many friends other than myself."

Naminé looked up at Goofy for a moment, grateful to him for offering her an out. She wasn't going to waste it. She nodded hesitantly, pulling the blanket around her shoulders.

"Um...if it's all right...Sora, everyone...I think I'd like to skip the hot chocolate." She hesitated. "And just go to bed."

She looked down at her toes, hoping they wouldn't be disappointed in her.

"I'm sorry," she said to the group at large. "And thank you." She waved without looking up, and padded away through the foyer

Passing Jeff, she paused and glanced at him. "That man Seymour is...is a very bad man," she told him with a slight tremble in her voice. "So...be careful."

Leaving the others behind, she went on toward the elevators.

Goofy nodded to Namine and smiled to let her know he wasn't disappointed at her decision. He figured a lot of people would feel the same way after the ordeal she had just been through.

"No need to be sorry Namine. Go get some sleep, and we'll be here if ya need us."

Once she left in the elevator, Goofy turned to the others and tried to figure out what to do next. He had a feeling that the others were eager to discuss what happened and figure out how to respond, and he felt much the same way. Hurting his friends was one of the few ways to truly upset the knight, and he wanted nothing more than to stop anyone from hurting Namine again. Still, at the same time Goofy knew that planning wasn't his strong suit, and as a knight he had a more important duty to fulfill.

Turning to the others he said, "I'm gonna go and stay by Namine's room in case she needs anything. You fella's let me know what you decide, okay?"

Sora wasn't necessarily disappointed with Namine wanting to be alone...he was just worried. He didn't like seeing Namine like this, so afraid that she felt like she couldn't face anyone, even her friends. And he was determined to do something about it.

"Sounds good, Goofy," he said to his friend. He trusted the knight to look after Namine right now. He turned back to Jeff and Larsa, trying to think of what to do next. He really wanted to just run off and teach Seymour a lesson right now...but he figured he'd need some kind of plan first, if Seymour was as dangerous as Namine said.

"You guys still want that hot chocolate?"
