thank you :) the cooor was easy to select, becuase this friend was originally slated to be one of the collaborators on the 2nd blanket (but she got pregnant and bowed out), and when considering colors for that blanket, the pumpkin was the color she voted for. the dyed cottons of this brand come in some really lovely shades.
Oh, it's gorgeous. I'm glad you know that your handknits are being used. I love the really rich color, and you can't even see the seaming. I've been on a seed stitch kick lately, too. It just seems so much more elegant than garter stitch.
thanks! i've long been a fan of replacing garter stitch with seed stitch in patterns, but my collaborator wanted to stick with a stitch she knew and didn't have to worry about messing up for the previous blankets. because by now she's familiar with her main pattern, she agreed to mix this one up with seed stitch :)
i really love the organic colors this yarn comes in, but the dyed ones are wonderful shades. these blankets i've made are interesting to view as a series/progression (at least for me).
