SO.... I am making a scroll that is due in a few weeks. I haven't made an entire scroll in ages, just usually do the calligraphy for other illuminators. I have found that I really enjoy it again. My daughter turned 12 couple of weeks ago- not such a big deal but it seems that since that magical day she has really started to grow up. great weekend
I haven't had such a wonderful weekend in quite awhile- nothing all that major but a lovely string of little things that proved to be the best. Much time with friends who I wish I could spend more time with and some very tasty food- not to mention the weather. overall a big win! Too bad I need more sleep than I got... -
a bit frustrated
So I scheduled a minor outpatient procedure for the first Monday of my 2 week vacation so that it wouldn't interfere with any plans or mess up anything with work. Then on the Wednesday prior to the procedure an ultrasound showed that the laparoscopic procedure wouldn't be a viable option, but the incision wouldn't be too big... new students
Monday was an interesting day for sure. I had two new students start- both little boys with down syndrome who are not yet 3. while they are both pretty tiny, they certainly are busy. To top it off I was short an adult as well. Overall the day was better than I anticipated though, but still pretty long with a meeting until 5:15 afterschool-ran ( Read more... )
