Last week, my dad visited me all the way from New York. He said he was in town "on business," but as it turns out, he had one appointment downtown the first day he was here and yet he chose to call in a few days and stay with me longer. What a guy!

I got my first tattoo and piercing today!
I am so freaking pleased with the result and love how it looks, and nothing anyone says could make me feel otherwise.
I love it! The piercing on my navel is a stainless steel curved 14 gauge bar with two imitation diamond studs, and the tattoo is the Ankh symbol, an ancient Egyptian hieroglyphic which meant " ( Read more... ) -
18-Hour Shift FTW
I worked all last night (Wednesday, 1900-0700) and as I was clocking out Thursday morning (it's now in the wee hours of Friday) my manager asked me to come back at 1300 and cover the back half of the day shift, staying for my regularly scheduled night shift after that. This has been a long time coming...
I finally made a Livejournal account. Yay! I toyed with one awhile back, but never really took full advantage of it.
