Our PTA is the same way! They've gotten a little better about some things, but things like providing the teachers with a lunch - it's last minute. We don't even get a notice home; instead, they put a status on their FB page which I'm sure the majority of the people do not see. And it's not even a good status - last one was "We need chili for the teacher's luncheon." Um, ok. When is it? Can you ask for it? I mean, geez.

We don't do winter recitals at our dance studio, but I know some do. They are instead starting their spring recital dances around Thanksgiving, so they don't have time, lol. Plus, they do the parade and are more worried about the routine for that (different practices, not during normal dance class).

Kyndle had her holiday shop yesterday too. Her "budget" for everyone was $50!! I told her she did NOT need to spend that much on stuff. I gave her $50; she brought home $20. Plus, she got two more gifts that weren't in her budget, so not bad.

Our PTO has had a facebook page for awhile but it seems like this is the first year they are really actually using it... except its always an AFTER the fact post. Like "Hey, look how much fun we had at [insert activity here] today!" along with a picture. Would be nice if they could say a few days before hand "Hey, we're going to do [insert activity here] if anyone would like to join us." Its just all very click-y though. And I dont have time for PTO drama - I have enough drama at work LOL ( ... )
