It's a rant and I just don't care.

I was going to type this as a cute letter to a customer formatted entry, but then I decided I'm just to tired to give a rat's ass if it's cute or not.  I'll get flamed for what I'm about to say anyway, but I just can't get up the energy to give a damn about it.  In just 5 years we'll be out of the hell-hole that South Florida has become, and then I won't have to deal with this kind of crap anymore.

The spanish speaking man in the drive through today had a problem.  I think he got charged for a double quarter but only wanted a single quarter.  I'm not sure.  But while I was apologizing (I was a the food windown, not the order window, by the way) for the mess up, and apologizing that I couldn't understand him, and apologizing that it was taking a minute for my manager (native spanish speaker) to get over to the window to help with his problem, he ROLLS his eyes at me, says "NO ESPANOLE!?!?!!  YOU ESTUPIDO!!! " and then called me a 'pendejha'.

I slammed the window in his face.  My manager told him to hit the road and not come back.

But you know what?  I'm done trying to learn spanish.  I'm done trying to cobble together orders and use sign language and be patient and everything else I do.  I'm tired of defending people like him to the old white guys who come in here and b*tch about 'those people' and compliment me on being a native english speaker.  I used to try to nicely point out that "Oh, it isn't so hard to understand our lobby girl,"  or "No, actually Ketta IS our best worker, that's why she got employee of the month."  but you know what?

I'M DONE NOW!!!!  Entirely done.  If I can't be part of the solution, I will be the biggest part of the problem I can possibly be.

I'm just sick of it.  I hope that guy thinks he really 'got over' on the stupid gringa working the window at McDonalds.  He just made it harder for his own people, not mine.
