school lets out, and it's raining hard. i take off my shoes and run to the car. i get a phonecall from him: he's waiting on the front lawn of my school with an umbrella to walk me home. "these kids must think i'm crazy", he says. i take his hand and i walk with him, shoeless and wet and incredibly happy.

i've now woken up two days in a row with a completely numb right arm. yesterday i couldn't even figure out where my arm was for a little while. (i later found it under my pillow.) i should probably change my sleeping habits, since bloodflow to all parts of the body is pretty essential, and sometimes i wake up with my head where my feet should be.
