A conversation with my husband had led us to the conclusion that, when the dust settles, Steven Gerrard will be Prime Minister and Liz Truss will be managing Aston Villa into a decline which would take them down to the Vanerama League if they kept her for more than 45 days.

You really think Aston Villa would let her putter around that long?

Is it true that Boris Johnson is going to run for the office again? I really don't know whether I ought to believe the news over here.

Apparently he is keen to do so and is trying to collect the 100 MP signatures that he needs to be considered. 😡😡😡

I'm so glad both you and your son got it!

The lettuce joke is here - basically a newspaper decided to buy a lettuce and see whether it outlasted Liz Truss's time as PM - and it did :P

Needless to say I had to good for Aston Villa and Vanarema League. Aston Villa is Premier League and professional. Under a suggested Truss management you are saying Aston Villa would fall out of the Premier League and become semi-professional? Like she almost did for the UK financial reputation?

Yes - that exactly. Steven Gerrard having just been sacked as Aston Villa manager because the team are not getting very good results - but he would certainly have got better results as PM than Liz Truss did :)

I forgot to check who Steve Gerrard is. He did a bit better than Truss.
