I’m from a humdrum lilac,
discharged from its vulnerable petals.
I’m from the gentle breeze,
that carried me to and fro.
I’m from the city’s park,
into which my soul was dropped.
I’m from the rain that nourished me,
and helped me start my growth.
I’m from the soil that embedded me,
and let me spread my roots.
