I am not feeling well today. Blech. I think I got something on the plane.

I just got back from being out in San Francisco and Oakland for a shoot. We just did a spot with John Cena and Vince McMahon from the WWE.

I've got kinda mixed feelings about Vince McMahon. On one hand he's clearly a genius of business and marketing, and a decent showman, but he just seems so scummy behind the scenes. Every time a wrestler dies of a heart attack in a hotel room I always wonder how much the environment he's created encouraged such a loss. Obviously he doesn't force these guys to take steroids and get addicted to pain killers, but he doesn't exactly seem to lose any sleep over it.

I've never been a big Cena fan wrestling wise but you can tell he's a good guy. If you ever wanna see a really stupid movie that you can't can't bring yourself to stop watching, check out "The Marine" next time it's on TV. It's so completely goofy and terrible that it kinda works, like an R-rated episode of "Walker, Texas Ranger".

Funny, ever since we knew he was going to be in the spot, our group has been talking about renting that movie and watching it at work one day. We're gonna have to make sure that happens soon.

i got to check out the RED cam at the alliance shoot a few months ago. and a guy in my building just bought 2 of those things. i was looking at the 4k footage on a 60" screen and it was hard to see any kinda digital breakup like you would with HD. took forever just to ingest 20 seconds though.

where are you having the edit done?

at work there is a student who frequents the library so often he drives us a bit mad, but he's "special" so we figure he just can't help it. but this kid is obsessed with John Cena and otherwise I would have no clue who he is. he fills me in on the matches and who John Cena beat this time and that time. he also frequently requests that we order books on John Cena. know of any page-turning John Cena autobiographies?

Yeah, I think the John Cena books are probably hard to come by.

I think that one ad is done...I just need the client to approve it. ;)
