I am not feeling well today. Blech. I think I got something on the plane.
I just got back from being out in San Francisco and Oakland for a shoot. We just did a spot with John Cena and Vince McMahon from the WWE.
Not sure how it's going to turn out, but it's always fun to be away on production...even more fun when production involves returning to SF. I forgot how much I loved that place. We were shooting in Oakland, so we stayed at a hotel in Berkeley, but made time to head into the city and look around, have dinners/lunches and such. Vince and John were fun to shoot. Vince is as gruff in person (though very nice) as he is when you see him on tv, and Cena was a funny, down-to-earth guy. The end product is tbd, but we start editing next week, so I guess I'll know soon enough. For the techies out there (like myself), our director shot with a Red One camera which was pretty neat. It was my first time seeing one in person.
Got back later on Wednesday night and Tra and I went out to Blue Ribbon for a burger and a beer. Genius.
The day before I left, our friends had a cookout at their place in Williamsburg, this time with a number of folks invited. It was a good time. Veggie burgers, dogs, daiquiri's, home-made mojito's and a whole host of sides. A number of us went up on their roof deck as the sun was going down and I'm still blown away by the view of Manhattan they have from up there. It was a fun day/night.
