I'm glad you liked! I didn't think we got enough of Tron or Rinzler in the film either, and I was having trouble seeing Rinzler as Tron. So I made this mostly as a mental reference.
I really expected to see his face again through Rinzler's helmet at the "I fight for the users" moment at the end. I wonder what the reasoning was for not? :S
Anyway, I'm glad there are manips like this to give us a more proper look at him! ;) ♥!
Anyway, I thought you might find this pic interesting. It's from the Evolution game and shows Tron before he was reprogrammed. You can see that the pattern of Rinzler's suit matches Tron's, except Rinzler's is missing the circuitry lines. In other words, Rinzler's pattern is a stripped down version of Tron's, which I thought was a very nice touch
I do miss him, Tron was always my favourite character. And oooh, hadn't noticed that one before. If I get some time, I might go back and add some more lines to the image. Thank you. *saves pic as reference*
Seeing the pics actually reminded me of something that's been bugging me for some time: what do the colors mean? Why white, and why blue? Watching the movie, I associated white with the Users, but I think some other programs are white too. And why is Clu yellow and the repurposed programs orange? Does this have anything to do with the original Tron?
Yellow programs are hacker programs. The original CLU was created to get Flynn's property back, so he was a hacker program. When CLU 2 was made, I think he stayed a hacker program to help make the 'perfect system'.
Repurposed programs are orange (imo) because they're against the users. As for the blue vs white thing? I dunno, in parts it looked white and in others blue. I wish they'd stuck with blue, as in the original Tron, Blue meant they fight for / believe in the users. Anon is blue in the Tron game too...
White seems more neutral, to me... But I guess not.
