Legacy-version Tron. Essentially, I recoloured the Rinzler promo image to blue, took his helmet off and added Bruce Boxleitner's head.

Bruuuuuuuce! \o/ *draws hearts* ;) I was really hoping we'd see even more of him as Tron/Rinzler in Legacy so this definitely made me happy! :D ♥!

I'm glad you liked! I didn't think we got enough of Tron or Rinzler in the film either, and I was having trouble seeing Rinzler as Tron. So I made this mostly as a mental reference.

I really expected to see his face again through Rinzler's helmet at the "I fight for the users" moment at the end. I wonder what the reasoning was for not? :S

Anyway, I'm glad there are manips like this to give us a more proper look at him! ;) ♥!

Probably so they didn't have to spend expensive CGI de-aging Bruce Boxleitner - just changing the lights is cheaper and nearly as effective. /cynic

Heh, yeah, I totally hear you. ;) I was kinda wondering if they didn't want to "establish" Rinzler as Bruce Boxleitner!Tron so that in potential future movies they could recast him with just a bit of "Oh, the repurposing from Tron to Rinzler must've changed the way he looks!" handwaving. :S [/cynics r us] ;)

Hah. That makes excellent Hollywood sense. *grumble grumble* If they do that in the next film, I shall be very disappointed. They spent all that effort on making Clu, why not do the same for Tron?

Oh, I know! As long as you still have Bruce B. to do the voice, why would that not be worth throwing some time, effort and CGI budget into giving the character whose name is in the title of the movie some well-deserved TLC? *shakes head*
