[The voice seems to startle whoever it is, too. There's a slide of footsteps, like someone whirling around, and a very soft click (from a gun, perhaps).]

[He eases, but just a little bit. For one, his gun arm is still raised, and that safety lock is still clicked. Adachi takes a step closer to the fauna the voice came from.]

...Minako?

[Well, she did say she'd be here. Perfect.]

[She waits for him to either a) step out of the foliage or b) finish the sentence.]

[This is for the Rise-Adachi part of this post!

So, after managing to run from the soldiers back in Grincat, Rise's been pretty much keeping a low profile. Dodging in and out of villages for food (eating the local wildlife isn't such a good idea, yanno) and basically living the life of a fugitive hasn't been friendly. She looks more bedraggled than national idol at the moment.

At the moment, she's sitting on a rock in the middle of a clearing, breathing quite hard. There had been a soldier that had spotted her earlier, but she'd gotten quite a headstart and lost him in the forest.

...doesn't this scene seem familiar, Adachi?]

[nowheresman]

[Oh boy it does.

But this might not be as familiar, the press of a barrel to the back of her head, pushing her face down. A head drops to around her shoulder level, but not quiet touching her.]

Ahhhh, that's dangerous, Kujikawa.

[There is a look of genuine terror in her eyes when she feels the gun.

It fades, however, at the familiarity of that voice and she blinks, hard. Her voice, usually at least polite, lacks all that today as she speaks gruffly enough.]

Knock it off.

[nowheresman]

[Something heavy thumps on the top of her head - the handle of his gun, perhaps?]

Knock what off?

[And the final Minako-Rise section.

After separating from Adachi, Minako was left to wander on her lonesome, once again. It was rather... boring, with no one to talk to. Was, being the key phrase. Somehow, Minako took a left turn instead of a right and went south instead of north and-

Well. It was just a recipe for disaster, as her path led her straight into a small camp of soldiers and look who it was! Her resident stalker-soldier! It was like some god was laughing at her...

Either way, Minako was off like a bolt after that little encounter. She had managed to leave him behind a while back, but who knew how close he was? The Wild Card decided to play it on the same side and keep running.]

[Well, that hadn't gone well at all. The conversation with Adachi, the leadup to the battle, the chase- she'd found herself running blindly through the forest again. It was only after a while that she'd slowed her pace, her heartbeat still pretty erratic. Plus the forest wasn't silent, and it was pretty hard not to imagine people coming at her from all directions.

There was a rustle to her left and she starts, taking a violent swerve to the right and running straight into someone. Her hand lifts automatically as her earrings Shift into the pan and she lifts it to hit and--]
