[The voice seems to startle whoever it is, too. There's a slide of footsteps, like someone whirling around, and a very soft click (from a gun, perhaps).]

It's not biased if it's true-

[He eases, but just a little bit. For one, his gun arm is still raised, and that safety lock is still clicked. Adachi takes a step closer to the fauna the voice came from.]

...Minako?

[Well, she did say she'd be here. Perfect.]

Yeah. I brought you tea because...

[She waits for him to either a) step out of the foliage or b) finish the sentence.]

LOL only when I'm around you, baby~

[He does a combination of both. The leaves rustle and part to reveal his foot, and then the rest of him, wearing a rather unhappy expression - like a child being told to eat vegetables.]

That stuff was gross. It tasted like melted shoe.

[Upon confirming Minako's identity (doe-eyed helpfulness and all), Adachi finally lowers his gun. It's not a smart move, but it's one that instills trust, he knows.]

[So it is him. Minako just smiles and lowers her weapon, relieved.]

You still drank it~ Besides, I thought you said it just smelled bad.

[nowheresman]

[He tucks the gun back into his pocket, though it shifts to its original form before it gets there. If there were any card soldiers waiting to ambush them right now, he figured Minako and her hero complex might just jump to his rescue. Part of the hero gig, probably.]

Yeah, it did! It was just bad all around!

[He neglects to say that it also helped that headache.]

[So Adachi's weapon was a gun? Well, he did say he was a cop back home... It made sense. Though it left a few questions regarding ammo and range and aim.]

Well, I did taste test for a... less then stellar cook. Maybe that killed them all off.

[Adachi let out a bark of laughter at that, amused. Oh, so Miss Kindness personified could face the bitter facts sometimes after all (no pun intended).]

'Less than stellar', huh? Sounds more to me like, "Gustatory Annihilator" to me.

[nowheresman]

[He says 'Gustatory Annihilator' in a deep, thrown voice, sort of like those announcers in movie trailers, but before he can elaborate on his new super-heroine (super-villainess) title for Fuuka, another rustle sounds behind Minako, and Adachi reaches out to pull her into the surrounding foliage to hide.]

What was that?

[Minako had smiled wryly, planning on elaborating on some of the more "interesting" mishaps, when Adachi yanked her into the undergrowth. She nearly protested before he cut her off, which just caused her to cock her head to the side, listening.]

Doesn't sound like a squirrel...

[nowheresman]

[It certainly isn't a squirrel either. The footsteps are too heavy and too many for a small woodland animal, unless the Wonderland brand of them comes six-feet tall and many-legged. The shadows and leaves of the forrest thankfully offer pretty good cover, and the small group of soldiers leave just as quickly as they approached. Adachi glances down at Minako from where he's pressed to the back of a tree.]

Say, weren't you hurt, or something?

... I don't recall being injured.

[She lies. But she's not telling him that "Oh yeah, well, there's this being in my mind that lets me heal really fast."]

Were you hurt during your scuffle?

[nowheresman]

[Two can play at that game.]

Don't know what you're talking about.

[Unfortunately, Magatsu Izanagi can't heal himself, and a damn Heat Riser isn't going to do anything for his bruises, but thankfully, clothing hides it pretty well. His awkward gait, though, might not be as good at it for the one on his shin.]

So, where are you headed, hero?

I... don't know. I'm just dodging the guards, for now. But I can't keep doing that forever...

[She sighs, before glancing at Adachi.]

What are you planning to do?

[nowheresman]

Haven't really thought it out, but 'not get caught' seems like a pretty good plan for now. Besides-

[He glances down at her again as he steps back into the open, weapon drawn again, but not aimed.]

They can't keep it up forever either.
