[And the final Minako-Rise section.

After separating from Adachi, Minako was left to wander on her lonesome, once again. It was rather... boring, with no one to talk to. Was, being the key phrase. Somehow, Minako took a left turn instead of a right and went south instead of north and-

Well. It was just a recipe for disaster, as her path led her straight into a small camp of soldiers and look who it was! Her resident stalker-soldier! It was like some god was laughing at her...

Either way, Minako was off like a bolt after that little encounter. She had managed to leave him behind a while back, but who knew how close he was? The Wild Card decided to play it on the same side and keep running.]

[Well, that hadn't gone well at all. The conversation with Adachi, the leadup to the battle, the chase- she'd found herself running blindly through the forest again. It was only after a while that she'd slowed her pace, her heartbeat still pretty erratic. Plus the forest wasn't silent, and it was pretty hard not to imagine people coming at her from all directions.

There was a rustle to her left and she starts, taking a violent swerve to the right and running straight into someone. Her hand lifts automatically as her earrings Shift into the pan and she lifts it to hit and--]

[... Was that what she thought it was?]

She lowers the pan, looking a little sheepish.]

It's just a frying pan, Minako-chan. Don't worry about it.

... If you say so... [Where in the world did Rise find tha- Oh. She was using a makeshift weapon as well?]

I guess you're on the run too, huh? Seems like it's happening to everyone...

The situation's been pretty chaotic. There's soldiers everywhere these days.

[And even as she says this, she adopts her usual hands-behind-her-back post, and the pan Shifts noiselessly out of sight. She clasps her hands together.]

No kidding. I was running from some before I ran into you... Though why is it only one soldier comes after us? Low employment rates?

[And not a minute too soon: Minako's sole pursuer charges through the bushes. He still looks rather disoriented after the rough-tumble treatment from earlier, though. Looks like you made him mad, Minako.]

[In Minako's defense, she could have hit him a lot harder then she did. Thanks to Rise's warning, Minako was able to dodge backwards, avoiding the first strike. Unfortunately, Mr. Soldier appeared to be a great deal warier of her and her stick, so instead of charging straight at her, he stopped just out of reach, circling, looking for any openings.

This couldn't end well.]

Rise, stay back.

[A pause. It'd taken Adachi and a really powerful spell to take out two of them, and doing hand-to-hand combat...

She nods slowly nonetheless and takes a step back. She'd help if there was the opportunity, but if Minako knew what she was doing, it was probably better not to argue. It wasn't as if she could do much anyway.]
