AAAAAAAH, it's Holmes! I am ridiculously excited, and flailing in my seat. Let there be more soon!

(And yes, I have been following this fic for almost a week now, and had not yet commented. I am a terrible and selfish reader, but please be aware that I am completely delighted by every word of this so far, and the advent of Sherlock Holmes has me grinning madly. Please update quickly, if you can!)

Thank you so much! :D I'm so pleased you like this, especially enough to delurk! I totally know what you mean, I'm terrible at commenting on most things. ><
More updates will come! I promise that! But I spilled water on my computer last week soooooo... in roughly 4-6 business days. :D

First of all, BWAHHHHHH! Sherlock!!! Ok. I'll come back to that train of thought after I have actually commented, but I just had to get that out of the way first. :D ( ... )

Hee, thank you!

I think the thing about Watson's feelings for Holmes that makes it most realistic for me is that it's not something he really obsesses over - it's just part of who he is now.
Holmes' arrival like that was pretty much set from the start. I think it might have been the first thing I actually wrote down, thinking and then right when they kiss, Holmes steps out of whatever hiding place he's in and goes MINE!. So I'm glad you like!
There will be much more interaction between Holmes/Watson and the Underground/marquis) in coming chapters! I just...spilled water on my computer (after real life kicked my ass), so it'll be a while. >

I loved this chapter as a whole, I loved how Watson sounded, I loved the subtle physicality between him and the Marquis, the build-up and Watsons wonderings about weather or not he would have come to regret it. My favorite is always Bisexual!Watson and Gay!Holmes because that just makes the most sense to me and so Watsons easy understanding of his own feelings felt right, adult and insightful - just as Watson is IMHO.

The moment after Watson has his meal is such a true, earthy moment. The normality of it felt steadying (not to mention cute) in the crazyness that is London Below and the Marquis.

You killed me twice with the ending. First when they didn't kiss (because 'oh I would never kiss anyone because I love Holmes so, even though he doesn't seem to have any interest in sex with men or even in-general so I'm going to stay completely faithful to my own unrequited love and obsession.' - That just doesn't feel honest most of the time. We are all human after all and personally I find what makes us human to be even more beautiful ( ... )

I know, right? I was so excited to finish this with a cliffhanger, it so totally wouldn't have ended any other way. XD

Thanks so much! I'm always glad when people find my characterisation realistic and right, 'cause I think those little details are the most important to ground people in their worlds. (it's 7am, that might not make sense) And YES, I'm glad you liked that almost-kiss moment! :D I wrote another version where they do kiss, but I don't write porn/porn-like-things ever so when I had someone else look over it and they were less than helpful I just lost all confidence. ><

But yeah, I think that Watson - if he truly believed that he would never see Holmes again - would hold on to his love, but not enough to drag him down if he can find the reassurance he need.

Thank you as well! <3 I enjoy reading your comments always.

I have been putting off reading this fic because it's a crossover with a book I've always meant to get around to reading, but haven't yet read. However, I just couldn't keep holding out. I'm not sure whether that's good (because I've found an interesting fic rich with world building) or bad (because there needs to be moooooorrrrrrrrrrrreeeeeee). Can I look forward to reading more soon?

Thank you! <3 I'm glad you read it even without reading Neverwhere! It's such a fantastic book, and when you get around to reading it you'll probably find a lot of the little details I put in this fic. :D More will come soon, but my computer poor baby is currently on its way to repairs for water damage, so in 4-6 business days I should hopefully have chapter 11 up!
