Shameless Self Promotion

I apologize for the shameless self-promotion, but I'm designing "Carol Channing Raises the Roof" on Sept 6, 2009. Ms. Channing will be sharing selections from her new album of gospel music and talking about her Arts Organization. The funds raised from the benefit performance will go to replacing the roof of the Altadena Community Church United

Carol Channing singing gospel music? Oh, this can't be good ...

Actually I've heard several of the tracks from the new album (as we began prepping the show). Its really great. "Gospel" is the term that she and her publisher are using, but its not quite what I think of as Gospel, but I can't think of a better term. The music is really exciting and fun, and I trust the show will be too. We know she is going to do "Hello Dolly," and we are hoping that she will also perform "Diamonds" as part of the show, in addition to the songs from the new album and some stories about a life in show biz.
