and yeah, gay marriage is just, like, exploding everywhere lately. EXCEPT IN MY HOMETOWN (SAN FRANCISCO). weird.

That IS weird. You'd think San Francisco would be first!! Well, the prop 8 ruling is supposed to be coming out soon... maybe they'll defy expectations and the gay marriage explosion will continue in California?

yeah, it's weird. the other thing i meant to say was that i'm continually surprised by the people i meet who are queer-friendly. you really never can tell. i have good friends from SF who stopped speaking to me because i'm a queer,
but then the old ladies and middle-of-podunk-nowhere coworkers who are totally supportive make me feel all fuzzy inside :)
