i just finished watching Match Point with my sister on the hotel tv.
it was completely unnerving, gripping, and intense. it held my attention from beginning to end.
and it has made me sick to my stomach.

i thought it was a great, great movie.

last night was a quick dinner at the harley davidson cafe. one wall (approximately 40' by 60') was made of hundreds of huge, thick chains that hung from the ceiling and were painted to form a massive american flag. a huge 30' harley was bursting out of the wall out front of the cafe, and they had about 10 bikes hanging from a motorised track that ( Read more... )

for those who are reading this and are interested in coming over tomorrow night for birthday dinner, drinks, and debauchery, c'mon over anytime after 4. i'm roasting chickens with stuffing, with assorted veggies. everyone is encouraged to bring something if they wish, to share.

the highlight of my evening was seeing philip seymour hoffman finally get acknowledged. especially for such a great motion picture which he was amazing in. in my opinion the oscars have become horribly dry and boring, and tonight, jon stewart was the only reason i wanted to keep watching. he made some witty comments about hollywood and democracy ( Read more... )
