Introduction:
A heartwarming comedy
from Mori Masako,
and Kawai Fumito (ABC-Z)!
Based on the movie "Nodo Jiman", a fresh musical comedy comes to the stage! The figures of the various people struggling to participate in the popular tv show "Nodo Jiman" are spelled out by laughter and tears.
A small town in a prefecture near Kanto, an old castle town, where industry used to prosper. After graduating from school many young people leave their hometown and aim for Tokyo, and in the corner of such a town is a barbershop run by Agaki, who has two daughters, Reiko and Shizuka. These two have loved singing since they were children and always sang songs together; they dreamed of becoming singers together as sisters in the future, but the music competition that took place one day will significantly change the lives of the pair. The elder sister Reiko places first in this competition, and leaves home to debut as a singer. Left behind, Shizuka remains unmarried so she can take care of her father, gets a hairdresser licence, and manages the shop alone every day.
Ten years later. Having won the contest, Reiko, despite her magnificent debut as "Akagi Reiko", afterwards remains unnoticed, and so comes to realise the severity of selling as a professional.
Then whilst handling a small business she meets Sugai, who had been laid-off from a record company; while being encouraged, before he knows it he's the manager of "Akagi Reiko", and the two work together and give it their best shot with 'Kouhaku Utagassen appearance' as their watchword.
One day, whilst doing business near her hometown, Reiko's thoughts turn to her family, and she resolves to return home. Then, she was supposed to participate in the "Nodo Jiman" competition held in her hometown, however....
Nodo Jiman will have performances in Tokyo from 29th June to 4th July, Kobe from 22nd to 24th July, and Nagoya from 12th to 18th August.
