I have trouble with women. Especially when it comes to the whole talking to part. It’s compounded when I find myself talking to a girl I’m not friends with and like. I just find myself tripping over my tongue left, right, and center.

Jonathan is one of the 3 biggest Ghostbusters fans in Bellingham that I know of. The other 2 being Johnny and Robyn. Any of them can sum up trivia about the movie at the drop of a hat. It’s the only movie that Robyn can quote vebatim. Not just bits and pieces, the whole thing, without any cues.

Early on a friend asked me why I always wear sunglasses in my comic. “There’s two reasons,” I said, “One, because I’m photo-sensitive and get headaches from the light. Two, because I hate drawing eyes. They just never look right to me.” That’s a problem that is remedying itself slowly.

I knew in doing this that I wanted to do a bit of a photo reality with this strip. I have to thank Jonathan for being such a good sport about it. One of the big problems with the color black being your whole attire is the fact that there truly are so many different colors of black. In this case I had jeans that after a couple washes looked more like a dark blue than black. Of course some of the inspiration for this came from the Dudley Do-right movie. That’s some funny stuff.

After Jonathan started dating Julie he came into the Black Drop Coffeehouse one day and I looked at him and saw that we were dressed more or less identical.
