I have now raised one child to adulthood. My oldest son graduated high school Memorial Day weekend and I'm very proud. 1 down, 3 to go. I have just been diagnosed with Type II Diabetes. Kind of saw it coming since my twin got diagnosed a couple years back. My sugars are high enough that doc started me on meds and I'm testing my blood. Started the diet and need to start exercising more regularly ( Read more... )

In honor of April Fools Day, my coworkers and I all turned in silly resignations to our boss. Since I'm the only one who can keep a straight face, I presented the letters as if it was a group protest. My boss's eyes got pretty wide, but she realized the joke when she started reading the first letter.

I think we started a new Easter tradition tonight, dying eggs while watching "Army of Darkness".

My six-year-old and I were watching Cartoon Network. The Star Wars trailer came on.

Him: "Dad, does liking Star Wars make me a Star Wars Geek?"

Me: "It can."

Him "Are you a Star Wars Geek?"

Me: "Ooohhh, yeah!"

Him: "Then we can be Star Wars Geeks together!"

I'm so proud... (sniff)

We celebrated my littlest boy's 5th birthday this weekend. The head got knocked clean off the pinata, so I stuck it on the top of our mailbox post. Pinatas beware! Do not enter the Crayon Domain!

My second son was to house sit for my sister. He tried to sneak in a party despite being warned by both his Mother and I. Of course, he got caught and now he's in the doghouse with half my family. More B-Day fallout. My wife had picked up an assortment of cigars for us to enjoy at our (I have a twin brother.) surprise b-day party.
