I'm one of those obnoxious sad sacks who experiences bouts of depression during the holidays. I have a pretty valid excuse; it sucks being gay with a family that actively disapproves of homosexuality, especially on Christmas. My reach has officially exceeded my grasp. The three goals I set at the beginning of the semester have gone unanimously unfulfilled. I aimed for a 4.0, but misfired and ended up with a 3.87. My roommate and suitemates are all pretty straight-laced, as is most of the rest of my hall. That's fine. I don't really care how they spend their weekends, and I'm no party animal either, but every so often, it feels good to wake them up at 7:00 on a Sunday morning to the sound of my sweaty, genuflected body heaving vomit into the toilet.

Today in my stylistics class, we learned the french word for 'heaven' (les cieux), which Dr. Tucci qualified by saying "where none of YOU will ever be going!"
